This Grade II listed cottage provides romantic, cosy accommodation for couples seeking a relaxing retreat. A handy utility area greets you upon arrival; to the right sits a shower room boasting a crisp, white finish. Step through into the beautiful and contemporary kitchen, featuring hints of rose gold and a selection of appliances. The sitting room at Easterly Cottage is bursting with character and charm, enhanced by rustic wooden beams and a fabulous stone fireplace housing an electric woodburning effect stove, put your feet up with the Smart TV showing your favourite Netflix shows and curl up with your loved one. Retire to the king-size bedroom at the end of the day, the stunning A-frame beams give it a real cosy feel and concludes the accommodation wonderfully. The fabulous seaside town of Bude sits just one mile away and comes with a plethora of things to see and do, from its wealth of quaint pubs, shops and cafés to the renowned surfing beaches to make the most of. There are many of Cornwall's main attractions at your fingertips including the South West Coast Path, some astounding scenery and an assortment of delightful towns and villages. Post lockdown visit for a week when allowed to travel.rasy to find in the lovely village with off road parking .Ample needs and spacious with large smart TV living room and bedroom .Kitchen full of amenities a lovely enclosed garden space and very cosy ,short walk to the dog friendly pub .Just a short drive to Bude and an ideal location for touring Cornwall
Myself, my husband and our dog stayed here for a week. It was perfect for what we wanted, only around 5 minutes away from Bude centre and it’s lovely beach. This was our first time to Cornwall and would definitely stay here again.
Decided to take a late one week break on the wild North Cornwall coast with my dog and do some walking on the nearby South West Coastal Path. Easterly Cottage seemed to have just the right balance of character and amenities I was looking for, with its close proximity to the coast and being pet friendly. One always books these places with some trepidation and with the suspicion that there might be something horrible and undisclosed. It was with some relief and the most pleasant of surprises to find that Easterly Cottage is exactly as you would want it to be. Located within minutes of down town Bude and also several other more secluded but charming coastal locations. Its amenities are of excellent quality and comprehensive, all as described, so no further comment is required on that front. Clean and beautifully presented, it is a truly classic cottage. Characterful and charming throughout with its open fire place and exposed beams.............. and my favourite feature of all.............the balcony bedroom with a huge king sized bed. All this and,at the same time, blended tastefully with a modern kitchen and shower room. Whilst I rented the cottage for myself and the dog, it is most definitely a romantic, cosy "getaway from it all" sort of place and one that I will most certainly return to. Two minor points to mention....that in my opinion do not detract overall from the place are: 1 - Ploughill is clearly a rat run for traffic heading to and from Bude, so at certain times of the day the traffic noise is rather more than would otherwise be desirable. 2- Keeping the Log Burner alight can be a challenge. I am well used to log burners but if visitors are coming in the Autumn or Winter I suggest that you come armed with plenty of kindling and firelighters to throw at the thing to keep it going when it starts to flag! Neither of these are deal breakers but, for balance sake, need to be recorded. Highly recommended.
