21 Fore Street is a lovely end terrace cottage, situated in the village of Illfracombe, Devon. Hosting two bedrooms; one double with en-suite, and a twin bedroom, this cottage can sleep up to four people. Electric oven and gas hob, full size fridge/freezer, dishwasher, microwave and a washer/dryer. Smart TV with ChromeCast, WiFi, DVD player and DVDs, games, jigsaws and books. Small outside space with table and chairs to the front of house. Large garden with patio, furniture and extensive sea and coastal views to the rear of house. Parking permit covering many car parks in North Devon provided during high season (mid March-Oct). Pubs, shops and beach 200 metres. One well behaved dog welcome. Note: Crab Cottage sits on a terrace cut into banks of historic Fore Street, there are 10 steps up from the road to the terrace and there are a further 30 steps to climb to appreciate the magnificent views from the garden.
The seaside town of Ilfracombe sits on the stretch of the North Devon coastline, home to five beaches. Ilfracombe is only a ten minute drive from Exmoor National Park, with its countryside and quaint villages. Ilfracombe's heritage harbour hosts a selection of pubs and restaurants. Ilfracombe is the centre for some of the finest walking country in England. Enjoy a promenade walk around Capstone Hill.
Devon, with its quiet country lanes, patchwork of lush green fields and sleepy villages is not to be missed. Stately home lovers will be spoiled and why not finish with a scrumptious Devonshire cream tea?
If you’re looking for somewhere to stay in ilfracombe I can 100% recommend crab cottage. Glorious cottage with two good sized bedrooms. Light bright kitchen diner with everything you could need. Centrally located. Not too close for noise for minutes from pubs, restaurants, the quay and the beach. Lots of parking choices nearby. A weekly Devon district council parking pass is available for a week which makes life more affordable and easy. One of the few houses in the area to have. A good sized garden. It even had a plum and apple tree.
I am currently staying at the cottage. It’s beautiful. It is on a very old street leading down to the harbour. Very close to everything but far enough to be out of the tourist trap. There is a fabulous garden with terrace with overlooks the harbour and sea front. The cottage is elevated so not suitable for people with mobility issues. The owner has provided a parking permit for the car to be parked at the museum which is a 5 min walk from the cottage. Would definitely recommend staying here!
