Wander inside to the sitting room laced with contemporary features, leather sofa's and a stylish fire. You can enjoy this room throughout the day; a bright and cheerful place to relax, or socialize by night. Across the way, an open plan dining area is vibrant and peaceful, with a table and chairs lying at the centre of the formation. The kitchen sits either side, with the essentials you may need to prepare those home cooked meals. French doors open out to the charming patio area, home to plants and pretty flowers that will fill you with joy. The winding staircase leads up to a colourful king-size double bedroom, elevated by natural lighting, and pieced together with a velux window and exposed ceiling beams. Patterned bedding and accessories make this room an ideal blend of contemporary and traditional décor. A single bedroom is serene and calming so you can sleep peacefully through the night. A quality shower room rests in-between the two rooms nicely finished with classic features, and conveniently placed. Once you have got ready for the day, why not head outside to the rather beautiful garden. The outside snug is ideal for reading a good book as you look out over the refreshing landscape, and with more to see, the village of Castleton offers a village shop, a convenience store, tea rooms and a small art gallery. Castleton is a lovely Peak District village resting above Hope Valley, home to historic attractions including Peveril Castle, Blue John stone and Winnats Pass, as well as contemporary amenities including local stores, gift shops, pubs, a café and a small museum. Nearby destinations include Edale, Hope and Hathersage, offering easy access to attractions such as the Pennine Way, Alton Towers, Chatsworth House and Haddon Hall. Other Peak District locations nearby include Buxton, Matlock Bath, Carsington Water, Ashbourne and Leek.

The cottage is clean, cosy, very well equipped and kept in first class order by Brian and Sue, the owners, who live next door. We love Derbyshire, visiting at least once a year, and Millbridge Cottage is like our home from home. A beautiful little gem - I can’t recommend it highly enough!
