Kent offers a wealth of treasures, from rolling countryside, unspoilt beaches, glorious gardens and pretty villages to ancient forests, bustling market towns, historic ships and imposing castles.
A tidy, well equipped cottage in a quiet location, with impressive views of the sea. Parking was straightforward and the shops are within easy walking distance. Some good local coastal and inland walks.
Lovely cottage, with a wonderful view overlooking Hythe and the Kent coast. On a clear day you can see France. The owners have made it extremely homely, comfortable beds, great shower and fully equipped kitchen. Although we couldn't make use of the patio on this occasion, I would certainly return in the summer to enjoy this facility. There are several steep steps up to the front patio and door.
I stayed with my dog in this gorgeous cottage overlooking Hythe for 1 week at the beginning of November. The checking in process was pretty straightforward, a turn of a key i was presented with a lovingly restored accommodation with all home comforts to ensure a wonderful stay. The kitchen is well equipped; able to rustle up a quick meal or more substantial fare, which i did most evenings with a glass of wine enjoyed in a separate dining room. Beds are super comfy; had the best nights sleep in a long time! The front of the cottage has far reaching views of the sea and surrounding area and you can see the French coastline! with table and chairs available which in warm weather having breakfast looking at the view would be wonderful, At the back of the house there is a very pretty tiered garden, again table and chairs are available. It is an easy walk into the centre of Hythe with its high street full of independent shops, public transport, 3 supermarkets and fabulous coastal walks, and of course the steam railway station! During my stay the weather was mixed, with very cool evenings, but not an issue as the cottage has a super efficient central heating system and a log burner which made it very cosy. This cottage will go on my list as one to return to, which i will do in 2020. highly recommended
An immaculate property with all creature comforts. A real mix of old and new with some very nice features, stunning views and positioned along a quiet street. Highly recommended.
Delightful property with views to die for. Everything in the house you need for the perfect holiday. On street parking and a short walk into town. So close to places of interest like Canterbury, Dungeness, Howletts Animals Park and London is an hour away by train. Highly recommended.
Myself and my girlfriend booked this for a weekend break and it was lovely! The views out to sea are incredible to wake up to. There’s lots to do in the area... We went to a nearby spa and went on walks around the country park just down the road! It was a perfect little break and we’ll definitely be coming back again!
Wonderful charming cottage with fabulous views. Recently been refurbished from top to bottom and it certainly shows! Felt right at home as soon as we stepped through the door, a perfect place to relax. An easy walk through the church grounds to the town with some interesting places to visit. Having dogs we walked a lot and discovered much of the local area and being a dog friendly cottage was a great help, they chilled in the cottage as much as we did.
Beautiful cottage with great views from the windows and patio table and chairs across Hythe to the sea. It’s bright and airy throughout, well furnished and has lovely decor and paintings. The kitchen is well equpped and the shower/WC room fittings are excellent. Lovely rear garden too. We’ll be back.
This really is a delightful little gem of a cottage hidden high on a hill in the countryside, but wonderful, breathtaking sea views from every room. The cottage had everything from underfloor heating, electric skylight, fresh white linen, French TV and a wonderful table/chairs outside where I sat with my little dog and sipped a cafe in the morning sun. The town is close by. A nice little walk through the churchyard, down two hills, you walk into a quaint little high street full of bespoke shops. A local fish and chip shop to new bistros that serve decent flat whites. If you are looking to escape the madness of the city and commuting, then this little gem on the hill is the ideal place to wind down and re group.
