Titchfield Common is one of several Southern Hampshire residential areas, close to both Southampton Water and Portsmouth Harbour. Titchfield village is well known for its charming, historic centre, the imposing ruins of the Abbey dating back to 1222, and Titchfield Haven Nature Reserve - 369 acres of wetland habitat, a haven for birdwatchers. Nearby Hill Head and Meon Shore offer promenades by the local beaches and views across the Solent to the Isle Of Wight. A short drive takes you to Portsmouth's historic dockyard, home to the magnificent HMS Victory, Mary Rose and many other attractions. Close by is Gunwharf Quays retail outlet and the spectacular Spinnaker Tower. The popular city of Southampton offers plenty of attractions, and a 40-minute drive brings you to the picturesque New Forest National Park including Beaulieu House and Motor Museum and Bucklers Hard.
