Flawless in every way. Warm and generous welcome, impeccably clean, wonderful use of space within the cottage (kitchen, dining room and living space simultaneously intimate and spacious). Hot tub is the best we've used in ten years of hot tub holidays; keeps its heat incredibly well and is subject to daily checks to maintain quality. The little details are also perfect; small hand torches for the kids at night time, the hand made oak bed in the master bedroom, etc. Everything has been thought of here and it really shines through. Book this trip and guarantee satisfaction.
Acorn Cottage is the perfect getaway. The accommodation itself is well equipped and spotlessly clean. The owners were friendly & helpful. There were extra little touches everywhere which took this to 5stars. We thoroughly enjoyed our weekend break.
This was our first holiday as a family with our 6 month old daughter. This was the best 3 days away ever! We felt so safe in terms of pandemic safety. The cottage was spotless and antibacterial products for our use throughout the cottage. The cottage is warm, cosy, modern, clean and just a joy to stay in. The hot tub was amazing at night for a bit of a relax and chill. The owners are lovely and made us feel very welcome. The welcome box of goodies (wine, crisps, cake etc) were a very lovely touch! We loved it so much we wanted to extend our stay but unfortunately as it is so popular it was already booked. I recommend this cottage very highly with great access to Ludlow and the gorgeous surrounding areas! You will not be disappointed! :)
After a 4-hour drive, we arrived at the cottage, easy to find and off a main A road so no need to drive down loads of county lanes, the road it was on was very quiet. we had had a text a couple of days before to tell us the key box code, the processes that were in place for Covid and this was the start of the great service. Peter came out to say hello, showed us how to use the hot tub (kids wanted get in right away) Peter said any problems or questions just to knock or text him, this was nice as we felt if we need things, they would be there but not bothering us as such. the place was so clean, fridge had a cake, milk and home made jam in it, little tray of snack items with sweets for the kids and a bottle of wine for the adults, each bed had towels and a choc on it, I have stayed at 4 star hotels and they have not done this. Coffee pod machine in the kitchen complete with pods, Tea, dish washer, robes for the adults for the how tub, the hot tub was great, nice and warm and super clean, on the last day when we left the water was being changed. I could go on and on about how great it was, local pubs one which delivers, local Tesco 10 min drive, good internet, lots of places to visit around the area within an hour’s drive It was so good we booked to go back before we had left to come home
We stayed here for our first night away after lockdown and it was such a treat! It was super clean and they went above and beyond to make you feel welcome - from the little treats to the children (and the wine for us!). We wished we could have stayed longer, the children were very disappointed to leave. Hot tub was great and being able to play your music on it was a great feature. If you’ve got young children, I’d recommend bringing a black out blind because their room is quite light but it really was a wonderful stay and we would love to revisit!
When we booked this cottage, we were aware that it was less than a Year old, everything looked fine and it also included a Jacuzzi (something we had never had before on previous holiday rentals). So, we contacted to confirm and received the best instructions we have ever received, literally door to door. We were greeted by Paul and Karen on arrival who not only showed us around but gave us all the information we needed for the stay, add to this the nicest home made Victoria sponge, and that was me sold! Looking around the cottage, the standard of all the furnishings and equipment shows that this is a labour of love, there was everything needed for a comfortable stay. It helped that half of the equipment was the same as we use at home. The beds were comfortable and with enough pillows to ensure we had a comfy night’s sleep. Peter and Karen were excellent hosts, available but also non intrusive. The location is remote enough to make it quiet but also close to 2 pubs for meals out, add to this it is also within 15 mins of both Ludlow and Leominster, then you have plenty of options for eating and food shopping. With this you are also close to the Shropshire Hills, the Malvern Hills, numerous National Trust and other various attractions, so you are not short of things to do, even with the great British weather doing it usual best!
We had a fantastic time at Acorn Cottage. Peter and Karen were very helpful and had thought of everything, and more, for a great holiday. The cottage was very clean and the hot tub was great to relax in. Great places to visit within 10 miles and also had some great food. Thank you for everything and we hope to see you again.
Acorn Cottage in is a quiet but beautiful location, lovely views from the cottage. The inside is immaculate and very comfortable. The beds are comfy too. The owners have thought of everything from books for adults and children as well as games and dvd’s. Bathrobes and towels for when you use the hot tub. It all superb. The owners are very nice people and helpful. They provided so many extras which were a nice and welcome surprise.
We rented this cottage for a weekend for a nice relaxed and much needed break. We were greeted by the owners on our arrival early evening on the Friday and was shown around the cottage. The owners were polite and accommodating. We were very impressed with this property. It was immaculate nice and cosy. We had complementary chilled wine as well as shortbread biscuits and a tasty Victoria sponge. The area in which the cottage is located is very quiet and peaceful which was bliss. We loved the modern hot tub with the wireless speakers. The tub was cleaned the following g morning. We ventured out on some nice walks and found a couple of local pubs with local brews and ciders. We would recommend this property. Sandra and Pete
