Devon, with its quiet country lanes, patchwork of lush green fields and sleepy villages is not to be missed. Stately home lovers will be spoiled and why not finish with a scrumptious Devonshire cream tea?
Arrived 12th Sep, after a 5 hour car journey arrived to a blissful area of Devon. The cottage is tastefully decorated, well equipped and so quiet! Dave and Ali gave us a warm welcome and left a well received welcome pack and cream tea. The cottage is not far from Tiverton so the big Tesco supplied our stay as well as local produce shops. We visited Bickleigh, Tiverton, Lyme Regis, Exeter, Exmouth, Polperro, Ilfracombe, Woolacombe and Sidmouth. Polperro, Lyme Regis and Sidmouth being our favourites. Nothing nicer than spending a day out and then having a bbq at the cottage followed by star gazing from the hot tub and a glass of wine! The hot tub is lovely and warm and a must after a long day out! We were supposed to be going abroad this year but didn’t want to risk it due to covid and this cottage popped up last minute, it is specially covid cleaned too which put our minds at rest! Has to be in my top ten holidays... just a stunning location and clean and well equipped with lovely owners, they should be proud of what they have achieved here and we will recommend to our friends and will definitely return! Also a very friendly dragonfywe nicknamed Dave came to see us several times a day! Thanks for making memories Ali and Dave x
A beautiful house in a beautiful location, the owners are amazingly helpful if required. The house sits in a large garden, very safe for kids of all ages. Couldn't recommend enough, looking to book for next year
Booked at short notice, but what a gem. 4 bedroom cottage with all the home comforts you need. The hosts Dave and Ali were so helpful and accommodating and nothing was too much trouble. The cottage is finished to a very high standard and in a perfect location. Hot tub is an added bonus and was wonderful at night to sit and star gaze. We will definitely be back.
