This exceptional, detached country home is situated in an elevated position, on its own grounds, offering spacious and flexible accommodation for friends and families alike. It is located in a rural location, eight miles south of the vibrant city of Norwich. It has been extended to create modern open-plan rooms with a large kitchen, a dining and sitting room enjoying views to the front and back garden. The kitchen has brand new fittings and white units, with a large breakfast bar. Towards the front of the property there is a sitting room and entrance hall enjoying views out over the front garden. The sitting room is the perfect space for relaxing with a good book or a film on the comfortable sofas and armchairs provided. Upstairs there is a spacious master family bedroom with views over the front and back of the property. It has a king-size bed with an en-suite shower room. Alongside the master is a spacious twin room with an en-suite shower room. There is an additional double and a single room which share a bathroom. Towards the back of the garden there is a self-contained one bedroom annex with a shower room, housing twin beds and a sitting room. With all rooms in the annex being at ground floor level, this is ideal for those with limited mobility or a great space for children teenagers to escape to. There is ample off-road parking available. Outside has a private lawned garden with a patio area and furniture provided. Nearby the property is Sandringham House, a country house, it was the private home of Queen Elizabeth II and her father George VI. The house stands in a 20,000-acre estate, offering a museum with displays of royal life, 400 acres of country park and gardens. Also nearby is Bewilderwood, an adventure park for families with treehouses, zip wires, jungle bridges, marsh walks and storytelling. There is something for the whole family here. We enjoyed our trip to a sizable property which was perfect fit for our family of 10 plus a small dog. Lots of space to spread out and a large garden to enjoy. My big gripe was with cleanliness. We were asked to arrive at 6pm and leave at 9am to allow the property to be completely cleaned in these covid days. The dust, grimy cupboard fronts, dog mess bags in the garden and huge piece of broken bottle on the lounge floor told me that this hadn't happened. I hope we were just unlucky as this property could be great with a bit of extra work.
We had an absolutely wonderful stay at Cherry Tree Cottage. We arrived to a lovely fresh loaf, butter, milk and cupcakes! It really was a lovely touch. The owner also popped in to see if we were all ok. The house is very clean, tidy and well equipped. The bedrooms were a decent size and the beds comfortable. The location is beautiful and quiet with just a 5 minute walk to the park and 10min drive to pubs and shops. We had a Tesco shop delivered when we arrived which really helped too. I highly recommend this accommodation and thank you again for a wonderful stay
