Me and some friends stayed here a few weeks ago and it was a lovely modern and spacious flat, right next to the Keswick high street. The beds are amazingly comfortable, it was difficult to drag ourselves out to climb Catbells! The flat had it’s own private parking space too which was ideal. Would definitely recommend it.
Right in the centre of Keswick and less than a minute walk to the high street. Really nice modern & cosy feel about the inside and so spacious too! Had a lovely weekend away there, and the beds are very comfortable! Well equipped as well and a great bath/shower. There’s a private parking bay as well which is key in the centre! Highly recommend!
We are very much in agreement with the previous review for this place. Both entrances are disgusting and our hearts sank when we arrived at the apartment. The rear entrance was dirty and smelly and the front entrance looked like student digs! We read the reviews in the visitors book and all the guests where saying the same thing, yet years down the line it’s still exactly the same. The apartment itself is ok, areas are in need of improvement. The settee is all scratched and ripped, marks all over the wood laminate floor, same rusty pole in the bathroom ( as previous guest mentioned) quite a few light bulbs not working, door handle missing from utility cupboard. The overall finish to this place is poor and to charge what you are charging is not right. We have stayed in far better accommodation for less. Yes it’s central but it’s needs a lot of work doing to bring it up the the level of other lets in the same area. We wouldn’t stay again.
As a regular visitor to Keswick over the past 20 years I can honestly say I have never stayed in such a shabby, dirty and depressing apartment. Both front and rear entrances are appalling with rubbish bins overflowing all over the car park, a rusty fire escape to the rear and an uninviting dark dirty staircase to the front which could be mistaken for a squat. On reading the visitors book it was apparent that this has been an issue since 2011 that the owners /agent has been frequently made aware of however it has not been addressed. The lack of kerb appeal could be forgiven if basic cleanliness and maintainenance was kept on top of. The bathroom has a rusty shower rail, excessive mould around windows/bath and the shower curtain was very stained.carpets and rugs were dirty and beds had hairs in them. We were requested to strip beds before departure and discovered mattress was badly stained. These are basic things that I would not expect to find at a 4 star property charging 4 star prices.
We have just returned home from Keswick and have to say the cottage was excellent, it had everything you needed and more. As soon as we opened the door to the apartment we knew he had made the best decision in booking it, so cozy, relaxing and wish we could have stayed for longer. We didn't experience any noise as the restaurant downstairs has closed down. Lovely little parking spot right outside so it was easy to load the car up. One of the best things was the bed, it was so comfortable and I wanted to bring it home! so comfortable we didn't want to get out of it. The only think I would say is we took our dog as it was dog friendly, I wouldn't return with our dog as it was a lot of messing around when she needed the toilet, you couldn't just open the door and let her out we had to go 5 mins down the road to the grass which I know isn't long at all but when it's just before bed and first thing on a morning it was a bit of a pain. We would definitely return but not with the dog.
This apartment was brilliant value for money. You literally are in the centre of Keswick, near the lake and all shops. Inside the apartment is spacious, clean and modern. The living / kitchen area has lots of space. I only marked the rooms as a four just because the second room isn't the biggest but it's only a slight note on this. Don't be put off by the corridor or the back entrance as this isn't the best looking place. An outside light, would be beneficial on the stairs leading out. There's only parking for 1 car, so if your party hAs more you'll have to park elsewhere.
A stunning apartment which is very well equipped for all your holiday needs. We had a lovely stay. Unfortunately on the Friday night of our stay the peace was shattered by a neighbours party. Loud music, talking and shouting went on well into the night disturbing our sleep that night. A real shame as this really is a perfect place to stay for a young family like ours but probably wouldn't book again.
Located above a restaurant in town centre (next to the George Hotel) with a reserved parking space in the courtyard behind the property. The apartment is accessed via a rear metal staircase or through a door on the main road. Neither entrance is particularly attractive but once inside they are soon forgotten as the apartment is great. Very modern, spacious interior but felt warm and comfortable. Nice comfy double bed. A nice touch was all the books, maps, dvd's and PS2 games which were handy when the weather was poor. We experienced no noise at all as the restaurant and takeaway had closed down.
We stayed for 3 night at Keswick Loft ,after reading the reviews on trip advisor we were wishing we hadn't booked However we were pleasantly suprized by the standard of accommodation and the location We entered via the fire escape which was the easiest for us and the dog ,there was no dog faeces and the accommodation was cleaned to a high standard many amenities. Noise from the restaraunt was minimal and only disturbed the dog Bed was very comfortable and the flat was furnished to a high standard We would visit again
Do not be put off by the outside of the building, once inside, it is a superb apartment, fully equipped kitchen and furnished to a high standard. It is in the centre of Keswick, so all amenities are on your doorstep. We very much enjoyed our stay.
Keswick loft inside is a lovely place and very clean. shame about the outside and the noise from under the flat after 10pm. but i enjoyed staying there and had everything you need. would stay again
The apartment itself is lovely, very well done out to a high specification, nice airy open-plan layout. The only downside to this apartment is the two entrance ways, both are quite grim and I wouldnt fancy having to arrive here at night or indeed go back to the apartment on my own when its dark. There was a little noise from the kitchens of the restaurant below, but this was not too bad and wouldn't put us off visiting again.
Stayed at the Loft for the third time , it never gets old, the apartment is great and in a great location to. The apartment has everything you possible need. Open plan kitchen/living/dining room which I love. The staff are really friendly.
The flat itself was spacious, clean and very well equipped. What a shame about the approach to it - up some horrible steps next to an Indian Restraunt and down a dark and scruffy hallway. The key was marked as No 12 but the actual flat was No 4 so it took some hunting for initially - in and out of indian food store cupboards etc. There was, it turned out, another entrance via an outdoor metal fire escape. This was preferable when the weather was ok.
This appartment is really well equipped inside, with all the cooking utensils, crockery, cafetieres, etc you could wish for. The zoned lighting and wi fi were all apprecitated too, and we loved the complete set of Wainright maps/books in the little bookcase corner. My teenage boys liked the bachelor pad atmosphere of the furnishings. The Loft is well situated, very close to the pedestrianised area of town and yet it was quiet apart from noise from the local businesses, delivery vans, etc. The entrance lets it down, as it looks run down until you actually get inside, when we were pleasantly surprised.
The interior was good, really modern, and with everything you could wish for. The negative was the rather confined location, car parking very poor, and the steps to the flat very steep. People smoking in other parts of the building, on stairwells, etc, plus the Indian restaurant below all gave the place a rather seedy outlook.
The front and back entrances to this flat were very grotty, rubbish ,bins, dog mess etc, but once inside it was clean and well equiped. On arrival the t.v. did not work ,but the company was efficient in sorting this out. We liked the central location of the flat within Keswick, but the position of the master bedroom above the kitchens of an Indian restaurant ment that there was banging, clattering and shouting until the early hours of the morning on most nights of our stay. The noise starts again fairly early in the morning from delivery vans etc. We could never park close to the flat, but always got a space in the Lakeside car park.
The approach to the flat was no clue as to the lovely flat that awaited us. The kitchen area was not very clean but once we had spent some time cleanin, the flat served us very well. We were 4 women, and felt that the 'wasted' space opposite the bathroom would serve well as a 2nd toilet/shower room.
