Reviews

We stayed here for a long weekend when my partner did the Windermere marathon. It was absolutely spotless and had a lovely cosy feel. There was everything you might need here and although traditional in style, the kitchen and bathroom are newly refurbished and tastefully modern. We both slept so well and really felt at home. We would definitely come and stay here again and will be recommending the cottage to friends and family.

What a beautiful find - a dog friendly cottage that is absolutely spotless. We arrived to milk in the fridge, chocolate cake & a friendly note from the owners. Beds were comfortable, shower was great, so many thoughtful touches: hairdryer, hoover, DVDs. Our stay flew in! The location is so peaceful and picturesque. I would like to thank the owners for going that extra mile, we really appreciated it & will be recommending you to all our friends & family!

We enjoyed every second of our stay. This cottage is very welcoming, peaceful and clean with all the comforts of home. It is in a very quiet location and an ideal spot to recharge your batteries. The cottage not only had lots of flowers in but the fridge was stocked with fresh milk and a very nice chocolate cake. Very thoughtful. We will be back again.

The accomodation is second to none, everything you need, Very well kept and comfortable. Wonderful location to explore the Lakes, but also a wonderful place for peace and quiet. Weather was kind to say it had snowed all the week before,

We stayed in oct/nov half term. The cottage was warm, very clean and well equipped, we just could not fault it.The welcome pack on the table was a super surprise after a long journey from Essex. I have recommended this to work colleagues and friends. There is lots to see in the Ullswater area even in the rain.

On arrival the cottage was very clean and welcoming, with a homely feel. It was easy to find and the village was lovely although there were no shops or pubs etc it was just what we wanted as Shap was only 8-10 mins away. We havde always stayed in the Lakes before and were so pleased to have made this choice. Roll on next year!!!

The objective was to get an affordable part week accommodation near to the Lake Districk mountains. We got this but the lovely extra touches by the owner, such as homemade cake on arrival, made the stay extra special. If they had had an open roaring fire I would have tried to buy the place there and then.
