We have just arrived home after staying once again at the very lovely, cosy, relaxing and romantic Saetr Garden Cottage. We found the cottage to be very comfortable, well equipped and modern whilst at the same time boasting a log fire with lovely with views out through the delightful garden to the beautiful Lancashire countryside. The owners live next door and are friendly and helpful whilst welcoming visitors to their beautiful cottage. Saetr Garden cottage has a romantic feel about it with a cosy lounge/diner/ kitchen, a spacious bedroom and beautiful bathroom with both a bath and a shower with red hot water. There are walks to be had nearby and there are several good eateries and pubs a short drive away. We particularly enjoyed the Black Bull at Old Langho and Greenwood’s a bit further afield in Skipton. If you would like a “get away from it all” break then this is the place to go.

Have just returned from a short stay at this beautiful cottage. What a lovely, relaxing break it was! Sitting out overlooking the landscaped garden listening to the birds, so peaceful. Everything is provided for you in the cottage, including wifi and Netflix. If you are looking for a break away from it all then this is the cottage for you. We thoroughly enjoyed our visit and would recommend it to others, if you don't mind driving to places as there is only beautiful scenery for miles.

My husband, daughter and I stayed at the cottage in April and had an absolutely perfect stay. Driving up to the cottage we noticed how remote it was and I instantly breathed a sigh of relief, peace and quiet was exactly what I was hoping for! I was instantly wowed by the cottage and gorgeous garden when we arrived. We received a friendly welcome by the host who I must say was so lovely with my little girl and even let her help collecting eggs from the chickens in the garden! The cottage itself is deceptively spacious, tastefully decorated and immaculately clean. The wood fire is lovely and cosy and the bed was so comfy! Also a massive plus having a bath to relax at the end of the day. Had a lovely meal at the calfs head near by and journeyed up to settle for a day out. We can't wait to visit again!

My husband and I have just spent 5 relaxing days at Saetr Cottage with our spaniel. We booked fairly last minute and hadn’t made much of a plan but as keen walkers there is plenty to do in the area by way of good walks for all fitness levels. The cottage is clean, well presented, cosy and comfortable. Although on the dinky side, it’s perfectly well equipped for 2 and has pretty much all that you’ll need for an easy and relaxing break away. It was lovely and clean on our arrival and we felt instantly at home. With excellent walks right from the door step we recommend taking wellies and walking boots (we had a drizzly week despite it being August but that didn’t dampen the break for us!) We didn’t really see the owners but felt very reassured that they were around and approachable should we have needed anything. The info that they emailed ahead of our stay was really useful. For anyone visiting we recommend; The Tolkien Trail as a bit of an easy warm up walk Le Deux Amis in Whalley for Brunch (absolutely excellent!) The Coach and Horses for a fantastic evening meal Delicious Deli and Cafe at Gisburn for takeaway breakfast, coffee and sandwiches The Courtyard just outside of Settle for lunch The Shepherds Hut at Holden Clough Nurseries just down the the road from the cottage for a lite lunch to takeaway. If, like us you are not from the area (or the North in general) we really liked Booths supermarket in Clitheroe. We did the Waterfalls Trail too but this was very busy. All in all a lovely break and would highly recommend the cottage for anyone wanting a private little break away tucked away from it all with stunning views (and a loo with a view).

We have just returned from a weekend break at the very pretty Saetr Cottage having had a previous booking altered due to the lock down. Having stayed before we were looking forward to a relaxing weekend and we weren’t disappointed, being very lucky to have beautiful weather too. The cottage is basically a one up, one down property situated in the midst of beautiful countryside. We enjoyed our last stay but this time, it exceeded our expectations. Since our last visit, the cottage has been totally refurbished to a very high standard and the space has been utilised thoughtfully. It boasts a well fitted and appointed kitchen in which you could cook a full meal;there is even a dish washer, The lounge hosts two comfortable fireside chairs, a wood burning fire and a wall-mounted television. Upstairs is a very comfortable king sized bed with quality linen. This extends to the bathroom that has a shower over the bath, a small hand basin and a toilet. White fluffy towels and scented toiletries complete the lovely feel that the cottage has. There is plenty of hot water too! In front of the cottage is a very pretty garden that has a pond - lovely to look at with further countryside views in the distance. Again, quality whicker chairs and table are provided so you can enjoy a brew, tipple or reading a book whilst enjoying the view and calmness. Parking is just at the side of the property. The owners live adjacent to the cottage and are helpful if you require assistance. Saetr Cottage is recommended for a relaxing or romantic break for two. Highly recommended!

Fantastic cosy cottage with log burner and amazing views across the gardens and into the hills. Plenty of walking on your doorstep and dogs very much welcome. Owners live next-door and are helpful without being intrusive. They even gave us a pheasant for our tea (plucked and gutted!)

Perfect for couples. The cottage is beautifully done and has everything you need. The garden is stunning. The owners are very friendly but give you plenty of space. Set in the most beautiful part of the country, I couldn't recommend it highly enough!
