Today you can still see Owain's Mount - the eroded remains of a 12th century castle motte. Walking is available with the Offa's Dyke Pathway nearby, whilst canoeing on the River Dee is on offer for those who enjoy watersports. The nearby town of Llangollen offers a range of shops, pubs and eateries and is internationally famous for its annual Musical Eisteddfod.
