Groom's Cottage in the grounds of striking Talaton House is a lovely, bright and airy cottage. The living space is open-plan with a high ceiling and glazed doors on two sides leading to the pretty terrace. The cottage has one bedroom, a smart ground floor king-size double bedroom with ceiling-high glazed door and at the top of a handsome oak staircase you'll find a single day bed on the mezzanine looking over the living area. These share a shower/wet room. Outside you'll find a little seating area and attractive gravelled terrace adorned with potted plants and pleached trees, and you are of course welcome to use the extensive lawns and grounds.
Ottery St Mary sits beside the River Otter and is well known for its literary connections to the poet Coleridge and for its beautiful church often referred to as a Exeter cathedral lookalike. Ottery St Mary is also famous for its traditional 'Tar Barrels' which attracts more than 3000 visitors on 5th November each year.

Clean, light and airy this peaceful dog friendly cottage is amazing with such well thought out furniture and appliances. We wanted for nothing and could walk the dog from the front door either along the public footpaths or just down the private lane to the pub for an excellent meal. We will return for another outstanding holiday it is perfect.
