Gardener’s Cottage in the grounds of striking Talaton House is elegant and stylish. Entering at the at rear of the cottage, you arrive in a chic open-plan living space, with ceiling-high glazed doors to the pretty terrace looking over parkland beyond. On the first floor are two bedrooms – a king-size double with great, open views and a small twin with 2'6" beds, linkable to a 5' double on request. They share a family bathroom. Outside you are of course welcome to use the extensive lawns and grounds, and you have your own little private seating area and attractive gravelled terrace adorned with potted plants and pleached trees.
Ottery St Mary sits beside the River Otter and is well known for its literary connections to the poet Coleridge and for its beautiful church often referred to as a Exeter cathedral lookalike. Ottery St Mary is also famous for its traditional 'Tar Barrels' which attracts more than 3000 visitors on 5th November each year.
