Pillhead Cottage is a charming retreat located on a 130 acre working sheep farm on the side of a valley two miles from Bideford, Devon. Hosting three bedrooms; a double, twin (can be zipped link to form a superking), and a bunk room, along with a bathroom, and a cloakroom, this property can sleep up to five people. Inside you will also find a kitchen, dining room, sitting room with electric fire, and a sun room. On the ground floor there is a bathroom with shower and Wash-Hand-Basin toilet. To the outside is off-road parking for two cars, a lawned garden to the front, and rear garden with picnic bench and barbecue. 130-acre natural grounds and orchard with terrace sun loungers (shared with owner and other properties on-site). There is also a shared seasonal outdoor heated swimming pool. Pillhead Cottage has a private hot tub. Resting in a peaceful setting with lovely garden views, Pillhead Cottage is a unique retreat situated in a memorable part of England. Please note: Outdoor heated swimming pool, shared with other properties on-site, (15' x 30' x 4' to 5' deep) with paddling pool (10' x 9' x 1'6" deep), available from the Friday immediately preceding the last bank holiday in May to the first Friday in September, 10am-evening. Note: Unfortunately electric cars cannot be charged on site but there is a charging point 4 minutes drive away (Tesco)

Location Details
The town of Bideford is situated on the River Torridge in North Devon. Bideford offers a fine selection of shops (including individual shops), cafes and restaurants, a park and the Atlantic Village Outlet Shopping Centre located on the outskirts of the town. Close by there are sandy beaches, the Northam Burrows Country Park, the South West Coastal Path and Big Sheep Adventure Park.
Devon, with its quiet country lanes, patchwork of lush green fields and sleepy villages is not to be missed. Stately home lovers will be spoiled and why not finish with a scrumptious Devonshire cream tea?

Comfortable and normal. It's not flash, it's not overly modern but it does feel like home. We don't feel on edge like you do at some places we've rented. It's close to amenities yet far enough away to be peaceful
We've been coming to Pillhead a few years now and this year was the best. its undergone some changes and they were well worth it. it was the first time in ages I didn't want to go home. The new kitchen is great and I was surprised how much we used the hot tub in March, so much so that i might have to buy my own!! i always bring covers for the dog, but the cottage does provide some which are very welcome as is the welcome treats for us and the Dog (however being vegan we took them home for our son and gave the milk to our friend who lives in Bideford) I guess next time we shall say no milk please. my only niggle is the beds are a bit firm and creaky, but other than that we would be more than happy to book again.
