Seagulls Perch is situated on a private lane, looking down over the beach in Mawgan Porth. ItÂ’s a semi-detached, custom-built, split-level house with superb beach and sea views. The level entry is in to the very large kitchen-dining room, then through to the living room with those great views and a balustrade. At this level there is a WC. Head downstairs to two bedrooms, both with en suite shower rooms , a king-size double with a balustrade that leads down to the terrace, and a double with a day bed. A gravelled path and steps also leads to the terrace which is a great place for al fresco dining, or sundowners ; lovely sunsets. And there is a paved area for storing surfboards and drying wetsuits. The beach is only a few minutes walk down a steep footpath, but it might take a little longer getting back! And there is an excellent hotel restaurant and bar, two minutes stroll away. And when you're not surfing, there's nearby Newquay, Watergate Bay or Padstow to visit and explore.

Cornwall's visitors are constantly tempted back to the beautiful coastline, tiny fishing villages, hidden coves and the world-class surfing. Whatever the reason, Cornwall has long cemented its place as one of Britain's premier holiday destinations.
We got a lovely welcome on arrival, excellent accomodation in a beautiful location with fantastic views, will certainly be back.
We (2 adults, 2 kids, aged 12 and 9) have just returned from a week at Seagull's Perch, and it was fantastic! The house is very spacious, with a lovely (well equipped) kitchen and dining room as you come in. The lounge is also really nice, with very comfy sofa and chairs, and of course, the STUNNING views. We have visited Mawgan Porth every year for the last ten, but this was our first time having the views, which we just couldn't get enough of. Downstairs to the 2 bedrooms, both en-suite, and both of which were also very spacious. Our room also had the views; lovely waking up to the sea in a morning! We met the owner, Brian, on the first day - a lovely guy and very willing to offer help and information, but we were left to it for the remainder of the holiday; a great approach. The house sits at the top of the hill, meaning the walk back is a little challenging on the legs, but well worth it. Mawgan has so much to offer - from the hotel on the doorstep (nice, but pricey for drinks, even by Cornish standards!), the Merrymoor, Pizzas and other takeaways at the bottom of the hill, The Kitchen by the Beach @ The Park, and not forgetting the fantastic Scott and Babs, just a walk through the woods. A great base for walks and exploring Cornwall. We also hit very lucky with some great October sunshine. Overall, a wonderful week, in a great property!
This is our second stay in the holiday accommodation and it was equally as good as the first. Very well kept property with all amenities provided. Cream tea on arrival which is a nice touch. The owners who live next door are so very friendly and happy to recommend places to go and give a view on the weather and suggest alternative locations for the day if things are not looking so good in the bay. Not found anything 'missing' in terms of equipment, in fact in comparison to some places we have stayed there are many unexpected extras provided. We would certainly recommend Seagulls Perch to anyone if they want first class accommodation with wonderful views.
