The attractive market town of Bridport grew up around the River Brit, and was shaped by its extensive history of rope and net making. The long, wide streets and alleyways between the houses were once where the flax strands were twisted into rope, while today those streets are filled with an interesting variety of shops, restaurants and inns.

The utility room is well equipped with a fantastic fridge washing machine and tumble dryer along with a sink their is ample parking for a large gathering of families etc and the Farmhouse is well stocked with information about the history and the progression from the owners who have turned this place into a little heaven in Dorset.

Set in a secluded part of the Dorset countryside but still close to the coast. Very well equipped kitchen with a large dinning table easily seating 12 people. Large fridge/freezer in utility room as well as a small fridge in the kitchen which was very useful for breakfast items and children's food. The comfortable lounge with log burner was great for the adults to meet whilst the children played in the television room. Comfortable bedrooms with their own bathrooms are always a bonus for large groups. Local produce including fresh fish from West Bay was excellent, would also recommend visiting the nearby Cider Farm which also had some interesting art sculptures by the owner of the farm. All in all a great place to base oneself with friends and family when visiting the area.
