Reviews

For our annual family gathering this year, we chose Fethard-on-sea, with the lovely Grange Farmhouse as our base. At the end of a boreen, surrounded by golden fields, it has a sense of rural isolation, while only a short walk to the village and the nearby Grange beach. Large garden and walled yard make it child and pet friendly. Ideal for cycling trips to Hook Lighthouse, Loftus Hall and much more. Enjoyed some cosy evenings playing cards by the wood burning stove. I could go on - but will leave the last word with the family: “ Best house ever! Can we come back next year??”

A great facility for a family beach holiday; great garden area with good play equipment. A peaceful & beautiful location. It was extremely well equipped and there was generous cleaning equipment eg washing up liquid etc.

Five older women from the Boston, USA rented this for 5 days in April in order to do a "garden, abbey, castle" tour of South East and southern Ireland. This farmhouse was a great spot for our wanderings and each night we came home to fix dinner. As stated elsewhere, the kitchen is small but fitted out nicely and easy to work in. We were met with Roses on the dining table, and some initial food supplies in the refrigerator. And a welcome apple cake!!!f The bathrooms are very modern and the bedrooms quaint and comfortable. This was very roomy for 5 of us. And the house was in a convenient spot for driving to see the sights we wanted. The little town is nearby with a very handy grocery store, pub...with internet access, and the post office. We enjoyed our stay and loved the Farmhouse. 'The trip Planner' from New Hampshire!

We loved the old Farmhouse, we found it to be very homely, it just had a lovely feel to it. I was delighted when I saw it, it is old so a bit quirky on upstairs floors but just delightful. The owner could not have done more for us and she us left a lovely welcome of tart and sandwiches. We had a ball and will definitely return and would recommend Grange Farmhouse to anybody for a lovely holiday in a lovely home in a lovely part of the country. What more can I say!

Very homely property. Very clean and inviting. Had a very relaxed holiday in a lovely part of Ireland! Loved the area around including Hook Head Lighthouse, Loftus Hall, local beaches. Went surfing in Tramore which was a really fun afternoon.

This is a beautiful old country farmhouse that has been refurbished to a very high standard. It is located at the end of a cul de sac country lane so it is very safe for pets and children. there is a gated courtyard to the front of the property with seating. This would be perfect if you have toddlers or a small dog that you want to let out but not let them go wandering. There is a walled garden across from the courtyard which is lovely and well maintained. The house itself is very comfortable. It is old and quirky upstairs. The floors are not very even but it all adds to the charm. There is a lovely stove in the living room which we lit at night- time when it got cooler. At the time there was an abundance of firewood in the shed which we were free to use at no extra charge. The kitchen is small but it has everything you need. The only fault I would have with it is that the seating area is very small. We ate outside but there were only 4 of us so it was snug at breakfast! The place is ideal for a dog as all the floors are either wood or lino downstairs so it was easy to keep clean. There is a very spacious double room downstairs with an en-suite bathroom so the dog was not anxious knowing we were nearby. We wanted to book the property again for a week in July or august but it was booked out and we were disappointed. It is a lovely place to stay and I would recommend it highly.

This is a beautiful old farmhouse which has been updated recently. It is very safe letting children out to play in the garden. The farmhouse is well designed to cater for holiday makers. We particularly liked the cosy stove at night time. This property is really excellent if you have a dog. The downstairs is all either wooden floors or tiled so it is easy to keep clean and mop up muddy paws. It is close to Grange Strand and there are lots of beautiful beaches in the vicinity to walk your dog. I would definitely book it again.
