Chynoweth, Crantock

Chynoweth is a detached house, set back from the West Pentire Road between Crantock Village and West Pentire on the seaside. It is in an outstanding position with fantastic sea views over Crantock Bay and beyond. The house is large, light and airy with plenty of space and is newly refurbished and extended for 2017, adding a 4th bedroom and an additional shower room. Chynoweth also has a large garden to the rear being fully enclosed with Cornish hedges, making it ideal for guests with small children and dogs. Outside the property guests will find a North facing back garden with large lawn area and patio, outside seating and umbrella style clothes airer. There is storage space available in the garage for guests to store bikes and surf boards. There is also a rail for drying your wet suits! In addition to this there is a front garden with parking, grassed and paved area, not enclosed. Access via front door and dining room. There is a West facing courtyard garden with access from the dining room, front and rear gardens.

Location Details

Crantock is a small Cornish village set back from the coast close to the popular resort of Newquay. If you want to escape the crowds, yet still be close to the action, this is the place to be. There's stunning countryside all around and lots of pretty villages to explore; however, it is the coast that dominates. Enjoy superb walks along the coastal path over dramatic cliff-tops, or magnificent surfing on beaches stretching from Watergate Bay in the north to Fistral beach in the centre of Newquay and on down the coast. There are a number of golf courses in the area, National Trust properties, traditional pubs and outstanding restaurants. Newquay itself is a visitor's paradise with a wide variety of shops, pubs and restaurants, as well as attractions such as the Sea Life Centre, Newquay Zoo and nearby Dairyland and Eden Project.

Reviews

We had the most perfect week here, the location is unbeatable, where else can you sit in bed with a cup of tea and see the sea so perfectly, wander to a cliff top cafe, or a quaint village pub, and of course Crantock’s stunning beach?! The house was really well equipped and the beds were incredibly comfortable. The walk to the beach was just the right length, an expedition without being too long to pop back for the forgotten sandwiches! The garden is a huge space - future family rounders matches are already being dreamt about when we return! And Jessica the host went above and beyond. Memorable in all the right ways.

Beautiful house, very well equipped, clean and fresh looking - spacious all through the house. Great amenities. A week is not long enough to enjoy the outstanding views and garden! Would recommend to anyone this lovely holiday home! Thank you to the owner Rebecca for making it so welcoming.
