This is a beautiful apartment, spotlessly clean and really well equipped. A lovely touch on arrival was the scones, cream, Jam and Teddy in the basket. All furnishings are of excellent quality and so comfortable. Awesome location. We enjoyed walking to the village, across the little bridge over the river Fowey (see photo) just 3 minutes walk away, we love the local area and enjoyed traveling on the trains to Truro and St Ives. This accommodation was a great find, a real home from home that we could enjoy with our standard poodle Charlie. We will be back. Thank you for a lovely stay.

We stayed here for a week and were blown away by how beautiful and well equipped this apartment is. The welcome pack is a lovely idea and much appreciated. The beds and sofas are incredibly comfortable and made a relaxing welcome after a day exploring the area. It is ideally located for strolling around Lostwithiel and the local area or catching the train to go further afield. Lostwithiel itself is a friendly place with plenty of little independent shops, restaurants and pubs. It was also dog friendly everywhere we went. A gorgeous place to stay.

We stayed at The Sidings for a week at the beginning of July. All six of us thoroughly enjoyed the apartment and its location. The Sidings is so well furnished and equipped that you immediately relax on arrival. It was beautifully clean and the cream tea much appreciated! Thank you. It has been so well thought through that everything you need to relax is there and the beds were all so comfortable. The men enjoyed several games of golf at Lanhydrock & Bowood and the ladies particularly enjoyed exploring the nearby gardens - Lost Gardens of Heligan, Hidden Valley Gardens and the Duchy of Cornwall Nursery (would highly recommend a visit here the tea cakes were delicious and loved The Bumblebee Garden). Also Lanhydrock house and gardens well worth a visit. Wouldn’t hesitate to recommend a stay at The Sidings and we hope to return one day.

Our stay at The Sidings really could not have been better, an amazing welcome pack on arrival with beautiful home made scones and a teddy bear for the kids! The kitchen has amazing built in appliances, every last thing you need for self catering and a smart TV. The living room has amazingly comfortable sofas, a massive TV and local artwork on the walls. Upstairs the bedrooms all have super comfortable beds and there are two lovely bathrooms. It was absolutely spotless and the balcony is a lovely place to sit, OK the view isn't of the sea but you aren't paying for that and the trains never worried us. Lostwithiel is really charming and not rammed full of tourists, has a lovely riverside and lots of great shops and pubs. The station is a minutes walk away so easy to get around without a car. It really is a luxurious and spacious holiday home.

What a wonderful place to stay. It was like home from home with everything you could possibly need and comfortable. It is also a great base to visit either by car or train the delights of Cornwall has to offer. Would highly recommend this place and hopefully will stay again next year.

We have just returned from a weeks holiday and missing it already ! We fell in love with the pictures on booking but the reality surpassed all our expectations. The hosts have literally thought of everything to ensure that their guests have a wonderful stay, we have never stayed somewhere so well equipped. The decor is superb and so tastefully done. We really didn't want to come home. It was a pleasure to return there after a busy day exploring Cornwall. The property is ideally placed by the station and local amenities. Lostwithiel is a lovely place. We are already looking at dates for next year ! Communication was brilliant throughout, no problems at all. Book with confidence, it really is a wonderful place to stay.

This 2 storey apartment is extremely well appointed from the kitchen appliances and equipment to the lovely spacious living/dining room area which is beautifully laid out with comfortable furniture and typical Cornish themed accessories. The bedrooms are so comfortable with lovely quality bedding, pillows and other furnishings. The apartment has a lovely balcony area where you can sit and enjoy a gin & tonic or whatever your favourite tipple is and watch the GWR trains go by. The sun is on the balcony in the afternoon making it quite a little sun trap. The train station is about a 5 minute walk and you can get to a lot of places if you fancy a day not having to drive. You get 2 allocated parking spaces in front of the apartment which is something you don’t always get with accommodation in Cornwall. The owner of the property is extremely approachable should you have any special requirements or queries. The apartment is ideally situated for exploring Cornwall’s beautiful countryside and beaches all at most an hour away in the car. We would not hesitate in returning to be able to see more of Cornwall that we didn’t get to see this time.

Having had several holidays in Cornwall, we decided to change from the normal format of quaint cottage near the sea and give The Sidings a go. I can't begin to explain how beautifully decorated and equipped this home is, with absolutely every last thing you could ask for, especially in the kitchen with a never ending selection of utensils, pans and plates. The beds are the most comfortable we've ever slept in and each room has a flat screen TV and all had Netflix keeping the children happy all week! Not only that the broadband was faster than we get at home in London! Lostwithiel is an unspoilt gem of a place with an amazing restaurant, Trewithen, some great pubs and a Coop open until late, with a lovely relaxing riverside setting. The railway station is just a few feet away and the trains are great, half the price of home, four of us went to St Ives for £20! We were not bothered by the trains at all, you cannot hear them at all in the living room or master suite bedroom which is super luxurious and only a little bit in the front, still much better than being near a busy road with lots of people and cars like in Padstow. The balcony is a real suntrap in the afternoon and even in September the kitchen warms up in the day! There is parking right outside for two cars and space for more and its in a private road opposite the old dairy. We loved it and will be back next year!

After having holidayed in Cornwall over the last 35 years, this was the first time we’ve ever stayed in Lostwithiel. Myself and my teenagers were blown away at the high spec, fantastically equipped, amazing looking apartment. There wasn’t one item we could think of that wasn’t in one of the many cupboards tucked away. We had a brilliant few days in Lostwithiel enjoying the town and nearby attractions including the Eden Project and St Ives. Our welcome basket of goodies was lovely and we all enjoyed a proper Cornish cream tea on the balcony watching the trains go by on our arrival. We shall most definitely be booking another stay at the Sidings xx

We are here at Sidings for a ten day Christmas holiday. We had such a nice time in the summer that a return to this super, smart, well equipped home from home was too tempting. The location is perfect to access both Cornish coasts, Lostwithiel is a lovely town not too touristy, with tasteful independent shops and eateries not to mention beautiful surrounding countryside. We have wanted for nothing on both our holidays and fully intend to return soon. Thank you.

We thoroughly enjoyed our week at Sidings. Very well equipped accommodation, and tastefully decorated. Quiet location, v convenient for railway station which enabled us to explore much of beautiful Cornwall by train, with well-priced fares. The centre of Lostwithiel itself just a few minutes' walk away; a delightful little town with lots of history, (check out the History walks which take place on Monday mornings in the summer months), eateries (esp Trewithens), pleasant shops and pubs . The welcome hamper was just what we needed when we arrived...fresh scones, butter, jam and the rest (enjoyed on the sunny balcony) and not forgetting Isambard of course :)

Our family holiday at the accommodation was first class. The accommodation was luxurious and comfortable. The apartment didn’t need anything else as everything we could of wanted was there. It was ideally located for a short stroll into the village and centrally located for trips to many beautiful beaches and towns. I would definitely recommend a stay.
