Askern lies in the beautiful region of South Yorkshire and boasts local shops, cafes and pubs. Nearby is the city of Doncaster, with Conisbrough Castle, Cusworth Hall, Museum and Park and Yorkshire Wildlife Park. There is also the Doncaster Market and the Doncaster Dome. Barnsley offers a mix of cafes, theatres, art galleries and museums. Located on the fringes of Peak District, it boasts some marvellous outdoor spaces with abundant nature walks and historic landmarks.
Just got back from an amazing weekend here. 5 adults + 3 children under the age of 6. Very cosy home with lots of space, both indoors and outdoors. Very clean and comfortable. We fully self catered the kitchen is very well equipped it wasn't missing anything. We toasted marshmallows round the fire pit. We enjoyed the hot tub. Owners were very friendly and helpful. Would love to visit again in the summer. Highly recommend.
We recently visited this cottage and loved it...it was very rural and covid safe ,very well equipped we made Sunday roast and had all the pots pans etc needed ,we also loved the Argan oven. The kids loved the grounds and being able to see the animals the owners where on hand if needed we will definitely be returning.
A perfect stay at Stubbs Grange Barn. Accommodation was excellent, just as described, with the luxury of the hot tub and taking afternoon tea in the summer house. Very peaceful location, perfect for the quiet getaway we wanted and being lucky with good weather, we spent a lot of time outside. Further afield, Nostell Priory was a good trip out and a last night evening meal at La Anchor at Henshall, recommended by Kris, was exceptional. Thanks to Michelle and Kris for a great holiday.
I booked this barn conversion to celebrate my BIG birthday with my hubby , our 3 grown up kids & their partners . The 4 double/kingsize bedrooms was the key to our requirements so this rental was perfect . The downstairs was perfect too - plenty of seating in the lounge area was utilised every day & the open fire was nice in the evenings. The table football /Jenga was great family fun .The kitchen with its underfloor heating & Aga was always warm and the hub of our meals & entertainment . The kitchen is well equipped for preparing meals. The large utility room & downstairs WC was a great addition . The master bedroom is huge with a lovely shower , although it wasn't very powerful & we did tell the owners about this . The 3 other bedrooms were of good size & every bed was very comfortable . The upstairs family bathroom is lovely but again the shower needed to be a bit more powerful . The garden area is lovely & the hottub was great . Lovely hosts/owners ...only a txt away. The online photos don't do this property justice . It is huge . Perfect family getaway.

The price for a 3 night break is either 75% of the normal weekly rental or, if it is higher, the quoted Winter Short Break price. Extra nights are charged pro rata of the weekly rental. OSBs can be booked within a calendar month of the start date of the holiday. "Last Minute Breaks" (LMB) are available at most properties throughout the "LOW", "MID", "HIGH", "PEAK", "XMAS" and "NEW YEAR" periods. The price for a 3 night break is either 65% of the normal weekly rental or, if it is higher, the quoted Winter Short Break price. Extra nights are charged pro rata of the weekly rental. LMBs can be booked within one week of the start date of the holiday.
