We booked number 3 - I believe all 3 cottages are the same & they are bookable individually or as a group booking, also a farmhouse is available. 2 bedrooms both ensuite - a double bedroom and 2 singles beds in the second bedroom. Plenty of wardrobe space etc - 1 ensuite has a bath, the other a shower so best of both worlds. Really well equipped units with 2 ensuite bedrooms which is perfect for families. There's a full size fridge, washing machine, a playpark and BBQ with seating outside, access to a decking area and everything you could need. We had a tiny issue with a flush not working and Mr Parry sorted it the same day. Really warm and cosy - best heating I've ever had anywhere, even at home. Great location to explore both Anglesey and North Wales as it's not too far into Anglesey. I cannot recommend this enough.

We stayed at No 2 week commencing 9th Oct. We loved every minute of our stay, so thank you Mr and Mrs Parry. The accommodation was lovely, spotlessly clean with two bedrooms both with en suites. It is very quiet and convenient to visit all parts of Anglesey within about 25/30 miles. I could not praise this place more. The added bonus was a brilliant Chinese take away a couple of miles up the road. We had our dog with us and there was plenty of room in the garden for her.

We had a brilliant stay here! The location is wonderful, especially for children. The play area is fab, our children were playing out all the time they loved it. The area is secluded so safe for the children no worrying about traffic. The cottage is perfect. The beds are so comfy! Everything that is needed is there, one niggle...the fridge is on the small side. The cottage is clean and well furnished with fab views and we saw lots of wildlife, including a bird of prey! We enjoyed it so much that we are booking for next year!!

We stayed here in November 2016, we booked this specific cottages as it was pet friendly and we took our dog. We stopped in no 1 with 2 bedrooms, loads of room for everything, It's situated for everything, as we did go walking, went to the beach at Rhosneigr which took about 20 mins. The wildlife is fab even around the cottage. The lady who owned them was very friendly and helpful. Will be going back again.

A well equipped and comfortable cottage in a peaceful spot, yet with easy access to all areas of Anglesey. It was lovely to have the patio area to sit in the evening. It was a bonus to be able to park right outside the cottage.

A very enjoyable holiday that went too fast, will be booking it again for next year.

3 cottages in a row, we had number 3 ,large living room /kitchen double bedroom with en suite shower room, twin room with en suite bathroom, loads of parking space, patio door to decking area, very large garden area to the rear with swings, slide and trampoline. The owners came to show us round and told us if we needed anything to go to the house at the end of the cottages as they are there, they were very helpful. We was both ill and the weather was awful, but we loved the place. I will recommend the cottages to everyone. You could rent all the cottages, if a group of people was going, or like us we just had the one cottage, which is for up to 4 people. Another family came in on the Wednesday, but we never herd them at all. Nice and peaceful place

Lovely cottage in area well situated to visit all of Anglesey & North Wales. The owner visited once but was available nearby should we have needed him. Would definitely use Sykes again and would recommend the area for anyone who loves beautiful beaches(dog friendly) and woodland walks.

Beautiful setting and views. Excellent layout with the two bedrooms, both with en-suites, situated at either end of the living area. Ample parking and storage for our bikes with BBQ available.

The cottage was perfect and in a good location. A welcome pack in the cottage was very welcome. Everything I needed was available in a reasonable distance. The holiday was mainly a walking and bird watching experience and Anglesey was perfect.

It was a well presented property in a lovely peaceful location with stunning scenery. It was easily accessible to many of the lovely dog friendly beaches in the area. The owners were friendly & helpful and they made us feel welcome. I would recommend this to anyone. It had everything we needed for lovely holiday.

This cottage and its location gave us the ideal setting for some much needed family time. We explored the island and its beautiful beaches, played with our girls and just enjoyed each others company. We do holiday abroad every year but I can honestly say that this holiday will be marked in our hearts as the best yet! Just proving that you don't need fancy expensive hotels and endless hours of applying sun tan lotion to have a good time, this week, the cottage, the island and all it has to offer, can be summed up by my 7 year old, this place is just awesome mummy, just awesome!

Rated by Mrs Taylor reviewed on 19th April 2014

Very accessible and yet quiet and peaceful. We have been before and were very pleased to be able to go again. The owners are close at hand if needed but do not intrude in any way.

We stayed at Black Horse Cottages last summer and liked it so much we decided to visit again. This time my daughter and son in law came with my friend and I, hence the reason we had 2 cottages booked. We like it that much that we intend to go again.

Just got back from a weeks holiday in this sweet little cottage, We enjoyed out stay immensely and the cottage supported our needs well as one of our party has a disability needs to walk with a stick. The whole place was as clean as a pin and the furnishings were comfortable, what more could you ask for? I consider this property to be good value for money!
