Reviews

Gem of a place in a gem of a location. Compact and cosy, this cottage is ideal for two for you to explore as near or far in this wonderful location. Literally feet away from the main high street, with the train station one end and the harbour the other (with fantastic fish and chips). The owner Alison, is just lovely - She has made every effort to make sure your stay is as comfortable as possible. The cottage is quality and comfort. Cosy evenings curled up on the sofa with the fire and a glass of wine, perfect. Parking is outside Alisons control, but you are made aware of the parking situation prior to booking so not a problem. We parked outside the property to unload on arrival then moved our car elsewhere. The road can be tight with other cars, so felt better moving it. Would book again and recommend.

First up I want this to be a positive review as this is a stunning property and made a great base for our discovery of the hidden gem that is Conwy. The cottage is literally slap bang in the centre of everything and it is beautifuly finished inside and in the glorious sun trap garden. The top floor with its comfy bed fantastic shower and heated floor was divine. But Parking is on a narrow road and on a fairly steep hill so if you are not confident on your hill starts thenaybe use the long stay a short stroll away. Also be prepared if you do park for a fair amount of seagull poo action! Our car was literally smothered! These are things the property owner cannot of course be responsible for so no criticism of them, but just be warned. Equally they cannot be responsible for poor parking on the part of others. While we were there someone staying in another cottage simply left their car outside their front door blocking the whole narrow road. Where the property did fall down was we struggled to self cater. A beautiful fully equipped kitchen but even with the extractor fan on full and the back door open wide, the slightest bit of steam set off not one but two smoke alarms in a dual squeal, however careful you were. Shame as the butcher's pretty much next door on the High St sold brilliant local produce. We wanted to self cater but could not which was a real shame. But as I say I want this to be positive. Conwy is wonderful and this little cottage was ideal as a base to rest up after exploring the area. Sort out the smoke alarms (and yes I know they are important,) and this place is pushing up towards perfect.
