Unfortunately, although I know things can go wrong, it's how it's dealt with that determines what you do and unfortunately, our hosts are a prime example of what not to do, which was pretty much nothing but ignore us. On our 2nd night, after having a bath, 3 tiles fell off the wall, falling both in and out of the bath and only timing stopped someone from being hurt. I sent a message and a video to our hosts, who did call me back, however, apart from saying they knew there was something wrong with the wall when they bought it, and thought the tiles had been fitted too close together, they only asked if we could pull off the loose tiles so they didn't fall into the bath and damage it, they didn't ask how we were etc (what if a parent had been bathing their children when they fell). I refused in case they all came down, so she said her husband would come and make the wall safe, but before that actually happened after hearing another bang, two more of the tiles fell off. We left for a couple of hours and on our return all of the tiles from the wall had been taken down and of course it looked a mess and we couldn't use the bath. Anyway, we thought we would hear from our hosts to apologise and maybe offer us some sort of compensation but we heard absolutely nothing. There was also some sort of banging/popping sound coming from the bathroom which I had informed them about when the tiles fell off, this continued and kept us awake at night when it was more noticeable. We were getting more and more uncomfortable and when we woke up a couple of days later, there was a leak in the cupboard under the sink that had started to seep out onto the floor. This was the last straw and we decided to leave 2 days early. When I told the hosts and sent a video of the leak, and said we were leaving, again there was no apology, nothing, they only asked when we were leaving so they could come and switch the water off to fix the leak. To say we were gobsmacked at their reaction was an understatement. We left and gave them a few days to come back to us but again nothing, and after contacting them directly, twice, to explain how we feel about there behaviour, they have not even acknowledged us them. I am absolutely appalled that they think what happened is acceptable and have not even contacted us to apologise or offer a part refund (something).
