Head through to the kitchen, which boasts a stylish Belfast sink, along with helpful appliances to assist your holiday, complete with cream units and wooden worktops for an immaculate finish. Two bedrooms reside within this delightful interior; the king-size double comprises of an ornate wardrobe and elegant bed set, mirrored in the twin room with a matching collection of throws and bedside lamps. The whole area acted as inspiration for the works of Thomas Hardy. The region is dotted with thatched cottages, rural walks, country views, and fascinating towns, such as Sherborne, with its abbey and castle, whilst the Dorset Heritage Coast is also within easy reach.

Though a bit tricky to find, it is well worth the effort. This dog friendly cottage comes with everything you could need, very warm and cosy even in the coldest months. The location is great, right in the middle of Dorset as all the usual attractions are in easy reach. The nearby railway walk in Sturminster Newton is perfect for dog walking. Good food available locally too, most pubs we found we dog friendly and welcoming. We will definitely come back here next time we're in Dorset.
