Benfield, Stow-On-The-Wold

My two friends and I stayed for one week at Benfield Cottage. It is a charming, well located, well equipped cottage with a lovely conservatory room that brings much-needed light into the interior--brilliant addition. It is located on a very busy street in Stow, but once inside, you are not aware of the traffic that passes by. The cottage is equipped with every convenience needed and is quite comfortable and cozy. I cannot understand why the descriptions of this cottage list it as a three bedroom. It definitely has four bedrooms--two on the second floor (one double bed, one with twin beds) with one bath and two double-bedded rooms on the third floor with a bath/shower. Not mentioned in the list of amenities, but welcomed by my group were a washer/dryer combo in a small utility room off of the kitchen that also contained a small first floor bathroom and two hairdryers that were located in the bedrooms. We did not lack for anything during our stay at this adorable cottage!

We rented this cottage through Manor Cottages and spent New Year’s Eve week here. It was wonderful. There was initially a problem with the Aga which they informed us about before we arrived and although not repaired, they brought us a temporary solution and gave us a partial refund. It was wonderful to work with such a great rental company. The cottage was lovely and ver character filled. We especially loved the small conservatory and fought over laying to read on the daybed in there. We couldn’t have had a better New Year’s week! Thank you.
