We stopped here for a few days for our first family holiday with our young daughter and it was incredible. It is immaculately clean and decorated beautifully. It is right in the centre of bakewell and next door to a lovely pub/coffee house too. The owner kept contact with us throughout our stay to make sure we were okay and comfortable. Really brilliant and would highly recommend to stay!
This cottage is small but has everything you need and is beautifully decorated and equipped. Bed comfortable, lovely courtyard to share a glass of wine, but the best bit is strolling out of your door straight into the town, and spending time wondering around Bakewell market (Monday), lovely shops, pubs and restaurants. Try the Castle pub. Chatsworth, Haddon and Hardwick all nearby, as are Matlock and Buxton. Parking was not an issue as we used the permit provided and always found a space, it was sometimes in a neighbouring street but that was not a problem. Highly recommend.
This lovely studio is well positioned in the heart of Bakewell, with easy access to the Derbyshire Dales. Many lovely walks, including the Monsal Trail, are accessible from the door. Car parking easy with the parking permit which is provided. Neat studio accommodation, perfect for two, with a private, secure courtyard for eating outside. Clean, comfortable accommodation and the owner is more than happy to help with any issues that arise. Would certainly recommend!
My husband and I recently stayed in The Studio as a mini-break to celebrate our 3 year wedding anniversary. We enjoyed our stay and found it to be the perfect home base for exploring Bakewell and the surrounding area. The space is also newly renovated, with an adorable yellow and grey color scheme. The kitchenette is also a great size for making tea and small meals. The location is the biggest selling point, being ideally located in Bakewell's city center close to shops and cafes. During our stay we enjoyed a hike from Bakewell to Chatsworth and back. We also treated ourselves to an anniversary meal at Fischer's Baslow Hall, a Michelin star restaurant located about 10 minutes drive from Bakewell. Just be sure to book a taxi in advance - we used Al, who was recommended by the apartment's visitor guidebook and who was prompt, polite, and fun to chat with. Overall, we really enjoyed our stay. We would definitely recommend the Studio for any couples looking to get away and enjoy some time in the Peak District.
