Within close reach you will find Aberglaslyn Pass, Welsh Highland Steam Railway, as well as Porthmadog, Portmeirion, Borth y Gest and the whole of the Llyn Peninsula.
Famous for its choirs, stunning mountain ranges and beautiful valleys, this wonderful country has something for everyone. From Snowdonia in North Wales to the Brecon Beacons and the Pembrokeshire Coast in the South.
After last week's recent stay. The views from lodge have to be the best in Wales. Sue and Garry are very friendly and asked us if we ever needed anything, just ask. The beds were very comfortable and we had everything we could possibly need. The dog loved the freedom of running up and down the huge field. Lots of walks leading to lakes close by.would definitely recommend.
Owners were really nice people which makes it hard to give a low rating but we were so disappointed we came home early and complained to the booking company but it's still there in their ratings as excellent and just as expensive....everything was broken , on first expection it looked clean but it wasn't. There was dog poo on patio under our window from the owners dog, it's not as secluded as the picture gives the impression of. The shower never did work well enough and in the end we gave up and came home. Expensive for what it was as very small, shabby and generally not as expected from description. We have stayed in bigger and better cottages for less or the same money...shop around
We stayed here in may 2022 . The cabin is in a excellent location & really cosy . Lovely views of snowdon & countryside from cabin . We bought our dog & there is a field behind cabin we could let him wander in the morning . Which was great . Lots of pretty & stunning walks from the cabin due to its location . Short drive or about 40 mins walk to the village . Near to snowdon too . And east access to portmeirion . The cabin had all the essentials for self catering & it’s really cozy & comfy . Perfect after a days walking . The owners are helpful & friendly I’d you need anything . Plus the bottle of wine & Welsh cakes to welcome you was a welcome to make you feel at home highly recommend . Abd would love to stay again in the future
First, we would like to thank Sue and Gary who made our stay so welcoming. The first impression of the cabin was cosy with the most stunning views of Mt. Snowdon and the surrounding area. Facilities include Heating, Cooker, Microwave, Toaster, Electric Kettle, Dishwasher, Timer, Crockery, Cutlery, Pots and Pans, Wi-Fi, etc. It also has a 3-acre enclosed field for the dogs to run freely. Beddgelert is just a short drive away with 2 dog-friendly restaurants.
Wonderful views, particularly of Snowdon, with friendly helpful owners next door. The cabin was pristine (Covid 19 professional cleaning service used before our arrival) and comfortable. Everything in good working order and all necessary equipment to hand. (No cafetière but owners quickly and generously provided their own filter coffee maker!). Access to many walks from the doorstep including the lake at the top of the rise behind the cabin. Access to cabin along winding gritted track.. a little rutted and bumpy in places but perfectly manageable in a medium sized family car. Wine and Welsh cakes provided on arrival and basics...tea, coffee, sugar, milk sachets. We took own towels and pillows as a precaution but had no worries that everything had been done to ensure whole place was Covid free. Unfortunately weather wasn't quite so obliging but with an electric fire for warmth we were happy to batten down the hatches and relax....
We have just got back from staying at the cabin and it was an amazing break away, The owner Sue was lovely and really helpful. The cabin is equipped with everything you could need for the stay, and the cabin was so nice inside. Overall the place was amazing & I couldn’t fault it. Would love to go back soon.
This stunning secluded setting provides a lovely location and a perfect peaceful get away. The lodge had everything we needed for self catering, comfortable beds and furniture. We enjoyed the approach to the Lodge travelling uphill through the campsite on forest tracks crossing the Welsh Highland steam railway. We found Beddgelert beautiful with good restaurants and coffee houses. There is Beddgelert and Gelert’s grave walk 2.63km well paved that goes down the side of the river it takes about an hour and it is wheelchair friendly. Snowdonia is exceptionally beautiful with many great views and panarama’s we come back time after time.
