Mill Race is a charming, modern and very comfortable ground floor apartment a stone's throw from Burford's famous (and much photographed) High Street. Adjacent to the apartment, the millstream runs underneath the Mill, with a beautiful waterfall. Offering the best of both worlds, it's very quiet and secluded, but only 5-minute walk from Burford town centre with its stylish shops, and an excellent choice of pubs and restaurants in one direction, and beautiful countryside walks just a few hundred yards in the other. Mill Race has everything you'll need for a comfortable stay.
Burford is a small medieval town in Oxfordshire. The town began in the middle Saxon period with the founding of a village near the site of the modern priory building. This settlement continued in use until just after the Norman conquest of England when the new town of Burford was built. The Tolsey, midway along Burford's High Street, which was once the focal point for trade, is now a museum. The town centre also has some 15th-century houses and the baroue style townhouse that is now Burford Methodist Church. Between the 14th and 17th centuries Burford was important for its wool trade.

Lovely apartment in a good and what we thought was a quiet location. Problem is there is an apartment above who's water supply runs through a pipe on the bedroom ceiling . This is very noisy if your trying to get to sleep after a long day hiking through the beautiful countryside . Also the noise from your above neighbours is extremely loud . We also had the misfortune of having someone playing a piano above our heads at upto 1.30 in the morning . If the neighbours were more considerate then I could recommend but having hardly any sleep is no fun espcially when your paying for the privilege If your in Burford. which was very nice, head for the Angel Inn - Very good food and service
