Location Details
Mevagissey is a picturesque fishing village resting on the Cornish coast. Explore the village's cobbled streets, leading you to the beauty of its harbour, before indulging in one of the many waterside eateries on offer, followed by time whiling away the hours in the quaint shops lining the streets. Enjoy the wonder of the Lost Gardens of Heligan and the Eden Project, or take a ferry trip to Fowey to find its own excitement. In easy each of Charlestown and Truro too, there's so much to see in and around Mevagissey.
Reviews
We are currently staying and have found the apartment to be very clean and just as the pictures show. Bed and sofa are comfy and all the linen and decor is fresh and welcoming. The location was a suprise for us as we weren't expecting it to be in the middle of the town and above a restaurant but we are please to report this had no impact on our stay. In fact the only down side is the seagulls which squawk loudly through the night. This has been an issue as the bedroom is very hot and you need the windows open, also there are no blinds on the bedroom windows. I've resorted to sleeping down in the lounge to get some peace. You can step out the door to 3 bakeries a cafe next door and tapas bar below and The Ship Inn is directly opposite. A few steps round the corner are 2 more pubs The Fountain and the Cellar bar which play live music but they didn't disturb us. In fact every restaurant and the harbour are less than a 5 minute stroll down the small shop lined lanes as is the parking for this apartment. There is a small convenience store next door and boots pharmacy is a few doors down. The town seems to go to bed around 9pm and I would recommend booking restaurants in advance as covid restrictions have caused them to reduce numbers inside. We booked a few online before we arrived and that has worked well. On the whole a nice apartment in a good location, but take some earplugs if your a light sleeper!
