Well where do I start we have been staying in this property for 7+ years due to it being convenient for my elderly grandparents and their mobility, and been using dream cottages for about 14+ years to rent through and how we have been treated is not acceptable, We arrived for our two week stay on the 2nd of aug 2019 had a good first day to them wake up on the 4th with 6/7 bites which I thought was Mosquito bites so over the next few days i brought Citronella candles (as the mosquitoes don’t like this so thought it would keep them away) as I sleep with windows open, I was still waking up with bites everywhere in the mornings so I then shut windows and curtains but I was still getting bites and buy the time the Friday the 8th had come one week in to our two week stay I thought this is not right it can’t be mosquitoes as I had 30+ bites by this time So I flipped the mattress to check there wasn’t anything on there and that’s when I fount what I had fount 10+ bed bugs around the mattress and their poo marks on bed frame so they been there for a while, I was livid I phoned the company who we booked though at 9am on 9th of aug dream cottages and they sent the head cleaner out at 9:30 to confirm it was bed bugs, then at around 1:30pm another man come round with someone who looked like dream cottages maintenance man to go up stairs and spray the bed frame and mattress with bed bug spray, I made them aware that was something that shouldn’t be doing while the house is occupied also my grandfather who suffers from bone cancer and a week chest was down stairs in the house and my 3 year old son they then stopped with that also told them we wasn’t staying in the house that night as we couldn’t due to bed bugs, they then wanted to take the mattress out side of the house without wrapping it up in cling film as they would of spread them through the house more if any had fell off. I had to keep making calls all through the day to finally get moved at 4:30/5pm which they made it clear they had pulled our money back for our second week stay to pay for the new accommodation, I later spoke to the landlord who made me aware that they had re-billed him for our new accommodation. To cut a really long story short dream cottages gets paid from the landlord to hire the cleaners for the property but have not took responsibility once just past it back to the landlord, if the cleaners was doing there job properly or even professional cleaners they would of been flipping the mattress and hoovering it after everyone stay but that was not the case you could see them clear as day aswel so this had not been done. We have been passed from pillow to post to who’s responsible and are still waiting for a full refund from our stay. Such a shame this had to happen as we won’t be staying there again and now makes out holidaying in Weymouth alittle harder as we have to find somewhere suitable for my 84 yr old nan and 82 year old grandfather as we won’t be using this house or dream cottages again. I also had to Visit the local hospital aswell due to them being very sore and itchy Here are some photos I have uploaded some pics but some I can’t
