Bankside is situated in a residential area near the sandy beaches of Hope Cove. The South West Coast Path can be accessed from within the village and the famous sailing centre of Salcombe is just four miles away. Bankside sleeps four in two bedrooms, including a master bedroom with double bed and the second bedroom with two single beds which can be made up to a super king-size bed on request. There is a kitchen/dining room and comfortable lounge. The gardens are laid out with lawns, flowerbeds, borders and shrubs. Rear lawn is level, south facing and fully enclosed. Bankside is perfect for a couple or family looking for a seaside holiday.

Two bedrooms: 1x double, 1 x twin (can be made up to a super king-size bed on request). Lounge/dining room. Galley kitchen leading into conservatory/porch with table and chairs. Family bathroom - mainly tiled and with bath, hand-held shower, electric shower, wash-hand basin and w.c. Gardens to front and rear of property.

Devon, with its quiet country lanes, patchwork of lush green fields and sleepy villages is not to be missed. Stately home lovers will be spoiled and why not finish with a scrumptious Devonshire cream tea?

Very short stay here for us, property not fit for purpose, damp in every room, no hot water, tiles hanging off the wall, driveway too steep to use, generally old fashioned and dirty. 7 day holiday became 3, could not stay here any longer, when we feedback to Sykes/ coast& country we were told we are sorry, would you like the house keeper to come back. Bit more than a dusting required here! I see it’s booked up for the foreseeable but I would be pretty surprised at any returning visitors.
We needed somewhere to rent that would accept our small dog and was not far from the sea. Bankside provided all this plus a secure garden. Bungalow well equipped, clean , modern but comfortable. Kitchen had all you could want including washing machine, fridge and freezer. Good off street parking for car and nice quiet surroundings. Garden secure and secluded , nothing more you could want, Coastal Walk very scenic and Hope Cove a delight. We were also lucky with the weather but even had we not been, plenty of home entertainment provided.
