Three bedrooms: 1 x super King-size, 1 x twin (which can be made into a super King on request) and 1 x bunk beds. Kitchen/dining room. Lounge and conservatory. Cottage View is set in a quiet, cul-de-sac location situated above the fishing village of Hope Cove and within close distance to the South West Coast Path. Hope Cove boasts two sandy beaches, popular with families because of their shallow waters and surrounding rock pools at low tide. Cottage View has an open plan kitchen/dining room with a range of appliances, large pine dining table seating six and a modern Nespresso coffee machine, ideal for relaxing mornings. There is also a utility room with laundry equipment. The lounge has two three-seater sofas, traditional fireplace, widescreen TV and a collection of children’s toys and games for younger guests. The lounge extends into a double-glazed conservatory with occasional furniture and sliding doors to enclosed south-facing terrace. Sleeping up to six guests, the master bedroom has a Super-King size bed, plenty of storage, TV and sea views over the cove. The second bedroom has twin beds which can be made into a Super-King on request, plenty of storage and lovely garden views. The third bedroom, has full-sized bunk beds and plenty of storage. There is a family bathroom, on first floor, and a shower room on the ground floor. Up to two well behaved dogs are welcome on ground floor level. Ideal for those bringing a dog, to the rear of the cottage is an enclosed garden, south-facing walled terrace and a patio with garden furniture and barbecue. There is a parking space for one car whilst a second car may be parked on the road. As a baby friendly property, a travel cot, highchair, stair-gate and plastic utensils available at the property. With a number of sandy beaches close by, this is the ideal location for a coastal retreat, with or without a pet.
The picturesque fishing village of Hope Cove lies in a sheltered bay on South Devon’s coastline, offering superb views over Bigbury Bay and Burgh Island. A choice destination for families, two beaches offer soft sand for sandcastle building, plus rock pools great for entertaining children. The town remains a fishing village where crabs and lobsters are still landed, however it was once used by smugglers. Many ships have perished around the coast and the wrecks that lie beneath the waves make it a popular spot for divers. Above the beach there are a number of pubs and restaurants, including the popular café bar ‘The Cove’. The coastal footpath can be joined from here and leads towards the sandy beaches of Thurlestone and Bigbury-on-Sea in one direction, and the sailing town of Salcombe in the other.

Devon, with its quiet country lanes, patchwork of lush green fields and sleepy villages is not to be missed. Stately home lovers will be spoiled and why not finish with a scrumptious Devonshire cream tea?
Fabulous location. Really comfortable beds and powerful showers. Parking really is suitable for one small car but there is a car park by the beach that is only £5 per day, which is only a 5 minute stroll away. Here you will find a small shop, and two nice pub/restaurants. The cottage itself is very well equipped but is tired and in need of some TLC. Paper coming away from the wall in main bedroom, broken toilet roll holder and the most uncomfortable sofas I have ever tried to sit on! Maybe because it's an old sofa bed and you can feel the metal bars through the cushions? That aside we had a lovley holiday and would recommend.

The price for a 3 night break is either 75% of the normal weekly rental or, if it is higher, the quoted Winter Short Break price. Extra nights are charged pro rata of the weekly rental. OSBs can be booked within a calendar month of the start date of the holiday. "Last Minute Breaks" (LMB) are available at most properties throughout the "LOW", "MID", "HIGH", "PEAK", "XMAS" and "NEW YEAR" periods. The price for a 3 night break is either 65% of the normal weekly rental or, if it is higher, the quoted Winter Short Break price. Extra nights are charged pro rata of the weekly rental. LMBs can be booked within one week of the start date of the holiday.
