This light and airy two bedroom apartment is situated near Kingsbridge and within a few miles of the popular town of Salcombe on the South Devon coast. Grand View is a well-equipped apartment offering a fantastic base to explore South Devon perfect for couples or a small family. Enter the property into the hallway, off of which are doors to all of the rooms in the property making it accessible for all ages. The main living area is in an ‘L’ shape giving it a real open-plan feel. A well-equipped kitchen with cream units, 4-ring electric hob, oven, dishwasher and fridge is toward the back of the room. Further through you’ll find a dining table and then a double sofa with a separate chair where you can admire the views through the patio doors which open onto a balcony area. Both bedrooms are a good size, one with a double bed, the other with two single beds. The family bathroom has a bath with a power shower (over), heated towel rail, basin and WC. Outside, the property boasts an impressive balcony area with table and two chairs offering fantastic views. Enjoy a wine in the evening as the sun sets. The popular market town of Kingsbridge is less than six miles away, offering lush green countryside, cafés and pubs which serve the best local craft beers, ales and gin around. Less than five miles away is the coastal town of Salcombe, offering stunning beaches in areas of natural beauty such as South Sands Beach. A visit to Start Point Lighthouse is recommended in Salcombe! Grand View offers countryside views, comfortable furnishings and a fantastic base to explore Kingsbridge, Salcombe and other popular destinations on the South Devon coast.
The picturesque fishing village of Hope Cove lies in a sheltered bay on South Devon’s coastline, offering superb views over Bigbury Bay and Burgh Island. A choice destination for families, two beaches offer soft sand for sandcastle building, plus rock pools great for entertaining children. The town remains a fishing village where crabs and lobsters are still landed, however it was once used by smugglers. Many ships have perished around the coast and the wrecks that lie beneath the waves make it a popular spot for divers. Above the beach there are a number of pubs and restaurants, including the popular café bar ‘The Cove’. The coastal footpath can be joined from here and leads towards the sandy beaches of Thurlestone and Bigbury-on-Sea in one direction, and the sailing town of Salcombe in the other.

We arrived at the end of September for a week's stay. Clean towels, bedding. But nothing had been cleaned. Filthy floors, carpets, microwave, washing machine, chopping boards, toaster, kettle. Full of lime scale. Bathroom was even worse. Several tide marks in the bath from previous occupants. Shower screen grim with a Filthy black strip where it sat on the bath edge. We complained straight away. But were ignored till days later. To when we were told "if only we had said something sooner" so i sent the WhatsApp to show I had contacted there company on the day we arrived. We were also told that lime scale is not a problem in Devon. I supplied the letting company with proof photos of the filth. Cleaned the apartment myself, bathroom, micro, kettle, toaster & mopped through. Company reimbursed the £10 I spent of a srubbing brush, cleaning fluid. But only offered a £50 discount on any future holidays booked with them.
