Nestled on the outskirts of the village of Shatterford, this semi-detached cottage offers a picturesque location with spacious rooms and ample outdoor space, so you will want to return with your family every year. Surrounded by unspoilt countryside and on the site of the owner's fishery, this property is ideal for those with a love of the outdoors, with opportunities for fishing, walking and cycling to keep everyone entertained. The first room you will discover is the vast sitting room, containing several sofas and a woodburning stove, with views through the double patio doors out into the lawned garden and the hills beyond. Providing the perfect spot to talk about the adventures of the day is the dining room, with enough seating for the whole party, and continuing through into the kitchen, you will find a breakfast bar among all the modern appliances you will need for making the group's favourite meal. Moving up to the first floor, you will find four bedrooms, with the master bedroom having its own TV, so you can experience an added bit of luxury, with the other three bedrooms comprising of a twin, a bunk room and a family room with a double bed and a bunk bed with a double on the bottom, altogether sleeping up to 10 people. For a bit more adventure, you can find yourself surrounded by wild animals in West Midland Safari Park; 200 acres of land which is home to elephants, lions, rhinos, giraffes and many more, as well as a seal aquarium and reptile house. Wyre Forest is around a 20-minute drive from the property and home to some of the oldest woodlands in the country, which is now a haven of activities for families and friends looking to enjoy the outdoors, with a Go Ape course on-site as well as opportunities for mountain biking, horse trekking and walking groups, it has something for everyone. One of the largest ancient woodlands in the country, the Wyre Forest is a designated SSSI and National Nature Reserve offering visitors lovely walks and cycle trails and is home to many rare species of wildlife, flora and fauna. The pretty town of Bewdley, once described as the most perfect Georgian town in Worcestershire lies on the banks of the River Severn and offers a good choice of pubs, restaurants, cafes, antique and craft galleries, as well as the Severn Valley Railway. Overlooking the nearby village of Kinver is the impressive Kinver Edge, a sandstone ridge covering 300 acres and offering long distant views of the surrounding area, along with Iron Age hill forts and cave-houses, which were occupied until the mid-1900s, and why not sample the wines at the local vineyard at Astley. Also close by is Stourbridge, famous for its glassmaking and some of the best attractions in the country, including the West Midlands Safari Park, plus Ironbridge Gorge and the Royal Air Force Museum at Cosford are within driving distance.
