There are numerous attractions and activities close by including the 7 Stanes mountain bike trail, Sweet Heart Abbey, New Abbey Corn Mill, Shambellie Gardens, Mabie Farm Park, Loch Arthur, Caerlaverock, Threave and Drumlanrig castles, Robert Burns house, Aviation museum, numerous golf courses and wild life reserves. There is fishing available in nearby burn, with four fishing permits, in addition to sea fishing close by.
