For those who like to spend time at the beach, the ferry trip across the estuary to the neighbouring village of Instow, with its sandy beach, is highly recommended. If this whets your appetite for taking to the sea, then the nearby town of Bideford offers a range of trips from its harbour, including an enjoyable trip out to Lundy, a beautiful island in the Bristol Channel with a wide range of wildlife and stunning scenery. On entering this charming period cottage, guests will find the lounge, where the owner s attention to detail is clearly in evidence. The exposed beams, and large stone fireplace have been lovingly maintained, whilst the furnishings and accessories have been carefully chosen to complement these period features. There is a wood burner effect gas fire here, which keeps the room lovely and cosy, even in the coolest winter months, as well as a TV/DVD, and CD. A step leads to the kitchen/diner with its wooden dining table with bench seating, Range gas oven, hob, microwave, and dishwasher. The washer/dryer and fridge/freezer are both kept in separate utility rooms just next to the kitchen. Upstairs, there are three bedrooms. The first bedroom, the stunning master bedroom, is a king size room which benefits from its own TV, a small balcony, and an en suite shower room with WC. The second bedroom, a double room, also has its own TV, whilst the third bedroom is a cosy twin room. The bathroom, has a shower over bath and WC. Outside, there is an enclosed courtyard with garden furniture to the rear of the property, where guests can sit out and enjoy drinks in the evenings, or perhaps a cone from the well loved local ice cream company, Hockings. As is typical of properties in the village, there is no parking attached to the cottage, but there is roadside parking nearby, as well as local pay and display car parks..
