If you re looking to soak up a bit of history during your stay, historic Chatsworth House and Haddon Hall are only a short drive away. The cottage is approached via the pretty walled front garden, which leads into the cosy sitting room. With a beamed ceiling, original gritstone fireplace with cast iron gas stove, an exposed stone wall and even a charming window seat, this is the perfect space in which to relax after a long day s walking or cycling. At the rear of the cottage is the kitchen dining room, which features a slate floor, cream units, a farmhouse style dresser and small kitchen table. With a vaulted ceiling and door leading out to the yard, this is a light and airy room for cooking and enjoying your meals. Upstairs, the large bedroom has been decorated in the same fresh, clean tones, and features a large window, original fireplace and TV, while the bathroom next door is yet another light and airy space. At the rear of the cottage a shared yard leads to outbuildings, handy for storing bikes and there is a quiet spot to sit with table and chairs. The sunny patio at the front is complete with a pretty patio table and chairs a lovely spot to enjoy a morning coffee, take in scents from the thriving flower beds beyond and watch the world go by..
