One of the most popular towns in the Lakes, Ambleside has a range of eateries, as well as shops. The area is, of course, extremely popular with walkers and offers many scenic routes at a range of accessibility levels, from easy strolls to thrilling mountain climbs. Also within easy access of the property, visitors will find Coniston Water, Wray Castle, The Beatrix Potter Gallery, and the Go Ape high ropes centre in Grizedale Forest. There really is something for everyone. Guests enter the cottage and come straight to the cosy open plan lounge/kitchen/diner where the beamed ceiling, slate floor, and wood burner all contribute to the authentic atmosphere of the property. Guests do not have to forego their creature comforts though, as is there a TV and DVD which can be enjoyed from the comfortable corner sofa. There is breakfast bar with seating overlooking the kitchen area. The kitchen is well equipped with an oven, hob, microwave, fridge, and dishwasher, whilst the washing machine, tumble dryer, and freezer can all be found in the external utility room, which is also a great place to store muddy boots and bikes. Upstairs, accessed via a steep narrow staircase, the bedroom is a stylish king size room which has a pretty Chinese style screen separating it from the bathroom, with its shower, bath, and WC. Outside, the property benefits from an enclosed lawned garden which has table and chairs, ideal for an evening drink in this tranquil location. Off road parking is available..
