Just two miles from the property is the shoreline of Lake Windermere, and the ferry from a where a small car ferry takes visitors across the lake to Bowness. Those who want to enjoy the outdoor pursuits that this area is famous for, will find plenty to do within a few miles of the property, including water sports on Windermere and Coniston Water, the high ropes course and zip wire in Grizedale forest or simply exploring the countryside that inspired Beatrix Potter straight from your doorstep. Entering this cottage through the timber porch, guests will immediately notice the charming interior of this cottage in keeping with its Arts and Crafts heritage. The lounge features a wood burner, and pretty window seat, as well as creature comforts such as a TV/DVD. Across the hall, there is a kitchen equipped with an electric oven and hob, microwave, fridge, freezer, and dishwasher, whilst the washing machine and tumble dryer are located in a separate utility room, down a few steps. The dining room makes the perfect place for enjoying family meals with antique furniture and a dresser. On the first floor, the master bedroom has carefully chosen antique furniture, including a sumptuous king size, sleigh bed and TV, whilst the second bedroom is a tastefully decorated double with the original feature fireplace. The bathroom offers the best of both worlds, with a roll top bath, a separate shower and WC. Outside, the property has a patio to front of the property, with seating area to the side, a lovely place to relax and enjoy the quiet surroundings. The cottage also has one acre of woodland to the rear of the property, which guests are free to explore. There is off road parking for three cars on the drive and bike storage is available for guests use in the garage adjacent to the cottage..
