Enjoy one of the many boat trips, from fishing to a leisurely glass bottom ride out to the island. Close by is the village of Polperro with a picture postcard harbour and colourful narrow streets. Attractions in the area include The Monkey Sanctuary, The Adrenalin Quarry, Go karting, Porfell Wildlife Park, The Eden Project and many National Trust properties to name a few. May Cottage is believed to date back to the 17th Century, started life as a sail loft, then converted into a fisherman's cottage and was later used as a bakery. This quirky and typically adapted Cornish cottage is built into the sloping rock of West Looe Hill itself, and is constructed of the traditional materials of its era. Retaining much of its original charm with cobbled walls, low ceilings and historic narrow staircases, giving a real sense of Cornish living. Heading through the undercover walkway and winding up the original slate external steps you will enter this reverse level property into the porch. From the porch, a few steps up take you through to the kitchen/diner which is fully equipped for all your holiday home cooking requirements.
