With a spectacular stretch of coastline boasting golden sandy beaches. Appledore is a great base for exploring this coastline, renowned for its colourful quayside. Purchase a crabbing bucket and line from one of the independent shops in the village and enjoy a spot of crabbing or enjoy the free entertainment on offer outside your front door with a lovely sandy beach at low tide and an array of rock pools for the children to explore. Also within the village are an array of cafes, pubs and restaurants. Head further afield to the seaside village of Westward Ho!, known for its beautiful beach and unique pebble ridge, enjoy rock pooling, playing in the surf or building sand castles.
