For the more adventurous among us there is rock climbing and canoeing at Symonds Yat which is walkable through the historic woodland with a lunch at the Saracens Head, Go Ape at Mallards Park and ample mountain biking routes around the Forest of Dean and the Black Mountains across the Welsh border. It is a location that is great all year round with a vibrant events calendar to include the Hay on Wye Literary Festival, Abergavenny Food Festival and the Cheltenham Jazz Festival to name but a few. Also within an hours drive are the bustling cities of Bristol and the Historic Spa town of Bath, with lots to see and do including the SS Great Britain and the famous Bath Spas, as well as easy access to both Chepstow and Cheltenham racecourse and the heart of The Cotswolds.
