The pretty medieval town of Rye, famous for its cobbled streets and smuggling stories is nearby. You may like to take a trip to nearby Hastings Old Town where there is a wealth of independent shops, cafes and restaurants coupled with seaside attractions to keep all the family entertained. Slightly further afield the area offers several castles, gardens and National Trust properties to visit including Bodiam Castle and Great Dixter House and Gardens. The front door opens into a small porch where you can leave your coats and shoes before continuing through to the lounge.
