Heading in the opposite direction, visitors will come to the eastern shore of Lake Windermere and the lakeside town of Bowness, which is a great place to sign up for a range of watersports, or join one of the leisure craft which run up and down the lake. For those who want to enjoy the area around the lake from dryland, why not head for Fell Foot, an expansive lakeside park offering lakeside walks, plenty of space for picnics, and a children s adventure playground.
