There are also several dive clubs that take advantage of some interesting dive sites off the coast. The wide beach is a draw for kite boarders too. If you are a keen birder, take a walk to the Long Nanny, a National Trust protected breeding site for all kinds of species, both migratory and sedentary. Take a boat trip to the Farne Islands to see the puffins and seals and visit the castles of Alnwick and Bamburgh for pure spectacle. On arrival at the house you will encounter the spacious lounge area. Ample comfortable seating centres around a Smart TV/DVD for you to unwind and enjoy some programmes after a satisfying day of exploring the area.
