Stroll the streets of Appledore with its maze of narrow lanes and closely packed, brightly painted cottages which are decorated with hanging baskets and were the former homes of fishermen.

1 double bedroom. En suite bathroom with shower over bath and WC. Kitchen electric oven and hob, fridge/freezer, dishwasher and microwave. Shared utility room with washing machine and tumble dryer, additional charge. Electric and heating included. Wi Fi included. 2 medium sized dogs welcome please note for your comfort and that of your pets, we recommend that this property is not suitable for dogs over Labrador size.. TV and DVD in lounge. Welcome pack on arrival. Public pay and display car parking nearby, weekly permits can be purchased. Regret no babies or infants. Pubs, shops and Post Office within short walking distance, beach 1 mile. Mediterranean style courtyard is also shared by cottages available to let Hideaway Cottage (sleeps 4), Coastal Cottage (sleeps 2), Lands House Appledore (sleeps 10) making perfect complex for families.. Please note: From 1st January 2022, change over day will be a Friday (not Saturday) .

The Maritime Museum in Appledore explains the history of the village and there are pleasant walks along the bustling quayside and along the river towards Bideford. A variety of pubs and restaurants in the village offer a wide range of cuisine and local seafood or visit some of the galleries showcasing local arts and crafts. A seasonal ferry takes passengers across the estuary to the pretty little village of Instow, with its sheltered stretch of sandy beach, 17th century pier and cosmopolitan yacht club. For beach lovers, the 2 miles of golden sandy surfing beach at Westward Ho! is under 1 mile and there are other attractions and leisure facilities all within easy reach. The pannier market town of Bideford is a 10 minute drive with its shops and restaurants and is home to The Oldenburg for day trips to Lundy Island. This delightful cottage offers cosy accommodation for two and as soon as guests enter the property, they will immediately feel just how homely and welcoming the cottage feels. The modern, spacious open plan kitchen and dining area is located on the ground floor and is well equipped with an electric oven and hob, fridge/freezer, dishwasher, microwave and dining table. Heading upstairs you will find the cosy lounge where you can settle down in front of the TV, watch a DVD or step out through the French doors to the private balcony area and enjoy a drink or al fresco meal. A door leads from the lounge into the pretty double bedroom which has an en suite bathroom with a shower over the bath and WC. As well as having sole use of the private, enclosed balcony, guests also have use of the pleasant shared sun trap garden and courtyard with seating and BBQ.
