The towns shops, cafes, and pubs are mostly clustered around the marketplace, which sits in an elevated position overlooking the river, as is the towns medieval castle which makes for an interesting afternoon of sightseeing. Just next to the castle, the old courthouse is now home to the towns museum, whilst at the opposite end of town, Mother Shiptons Cave is widely believed to be Englands oldest tourist attraction and is home to a fascinating petrifying well. Upon arrival at this attractive property guests are able to relax after their journey in the spacious lounge which boasts two distinct seating areas. The first of these is in front of the large picture window which overlooks the river, whilst the other is at the far end of the room and comprises a large corner sofa, a flame effect electric fire, and a TV with Sky Channels.
