Further Details

The beach is famous for its fossil hunting, so pack (or hire) your goggles and hammers. Alternatively, head 3 miles west to the bustling seaside town of Lyme Regis to enjoy its beach, shops and eateries. With great access to Dorset s country and coast, visit one of the year round dog friendly beaches like Monmouth Beach (3.5 miles) or Church Cliff Beach (2.5 miles). Whether you are holidaying with children or catching up with friends, this property has space and occasion for all generations, two legged and four. Spread over three floors, the downstairs is home to the main living areas. For lazy mornings with a cup of tea and relaxed evenings with a glass of vino, park up in the living room and bury yourself in one of the comfortable seats. Providing ample entertainment in the form of books and a TV with streaming software and Wi Fi, evenings in are taken care of. When stomachs begin to growl, make way for the well provisioned kitchen. With one end home to all sorts of mod cons and appliances like a dishwasher and oven, the far end is accessed via a step up and has a washing machine and microwave. When you are ready to gather around and share plates, the dining room features a family sized dining table and chairs. With the original uneven flagstone floor, wood burner and generous supply of logs, this room is particularly atmospheric in winter and ideal for dinner parties at home. When you are ready to explore the first floor, a steep staircase with rope handrail takes you to the first floor WC and then, via a couple more steps, the two double bedrooms and family bathroom. Continuing the traditional themes, each first floor bedroom has a feature Victorian fireplace and showcases authentic quirks. Following another steep, winding staircase with rope handrail, you will pop out onto the second floor. In an open plan design, the roof space has been cleverly repurposed to fit the master bedroom. A light filled room, this bedroom has a 6ft double bed and benefits from crisp, clean tones, sea views and an en suite. With plenty to do inside and out, the cottage has an enclosed rear courtyard accessed via a step with potted plants, log store with freezer and seating area with chiminea ideal for evenings of socialising. As well as this courtyard, a further lawn garden with sea glimpses, decked area and summer house is set apart from the house on the far side of the parking area. Parking is suitable for small/medium sized cars..
