For walkers, the nearby High Peak Trail provides an excellent starting point for a challenging hike through this spectacular part of the world. Carsington Water boasts a variety of scenic walks around the reservoir and beyond. Why not try a spot of kayaking, cycling, sailing or fishing. Matlock Bath has a huge selection of cafes and ice cream parlours, and is also the starting point for the cable car that takes you to the Heights of Abraham and many footpaths are accessible near to the cottage. The cottage character is enhanced with the exposed beams and impressive fireplace which houses a beautiful wood burner. The dining table is situated by the window with pretty garden views and hosts a great spot for lazy breakfasts. The kitchen offers all you need for a comfortable stay such as electric oven and hob, fridge, dishwasher and washing machine. Completing the ground floor is a separate WC. Upstairs on the first floor the cottage offers two pleasant bedrooms, a double with complimenting pine furniture and a pretty twin bedroom decorated with calming neutral tones.
